This is an Ultra Hotel. Ultra efficient, Ultra Fine rooms, Ultra friendly, Ultra tasting food with ultra size portions. It has good parking and has a railway station within walking distance to get into the centre of Edinburgh. In addition a regular bus service from outside the door.It has a great spa and the public areas are pleasant an provided with newspapers and magazines.

Have stayed here before wand would stay again. Very nice hotel with a lovely swimming pool available to guests. Food and service was first class.

Brilliant 4 night break.upgraded to lovely spacious club room.Buffet breakfast very good ,plenty of choice.Did not eat in restaurant,ate in bistro,food good,but menu limited choice.Hotel excellent location easy transport links to edinburgh city centre.Would certainly recommend this hotel to others.Finally staff were all very pleasant and efficient. ,

Lovely hotel with great leisure amenities. We had a club room which was very spacious & well worth upgrading to. Food was plentiful and both bistro & restaurant cuisine very tasty. Staff very friendly & helpful re. Local transport, facilities nearby etc. Look forward to returning.

Excellent hotel. Beautiful spacious, very clean, well laid out rooms. All the management and staff are friendly and extremely courteous. The food, whether from Bistro or Restaurant is all locally sourced as much as possible and the menu's are clearly labelled as to suitability for those whom are vegetarian and vegan. Bus services run into central Edinburgh frequently and are very reasonably priced. The Spa next door to the hotel is very clean. This was my second stay at the hotel and, as with the first, there was virtually nothing that I could fault. I would recommend this hotel for anybody sightseeing or visiting the city who likes a very friendly atmosphere and very peaceful accommodation.

This is a lovely hotel with great leisure facilities. The food in Lauders restaurant was first class. The hotel is a 20 minute bus ride from the centre of Edinburgh. A five minute walk to Portobello with a lovely promenade. Staff very helpful. A great stay and we will certainly be back.

What a lovely hotel! Nothing was too much trouble. Friendly helpful staff throughout. Super room with lots of space and very nicely appointed. Very clean and lots of attention to detail. Great breakfast with plenty of choice and the food in the Bistro was good too. I have food allergies and these were very well catered for with menus clearly labelled. What a pleasant change. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Very easy to get into the city by train.

Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the staff are very helpful. Unfortunately, although the breakfast was fine, the food served at dinner was disappointing and we wouldn't choose to eat in Lauders again. We expressed our concerns to the restaurant manager at the time.

Rooms were very spacious and clean. The only down side was that rooms were very hot at night even with windows open. Also the cold water was not actually that cold for having a drink. We ate in the bistro and restaurant. Restaurant was lovely with first class service but service in bistro was really bad. I think they could have been doing with extra staff on. We waited a while for starters and then the mains came while starter plates still on table then had to wait for extra cutlery. We have eaten in bistro in previous years but this was very disappointing on this visit.

Excellent hotel well placed to travel into Edinburgh bus outside the hotel and tickets available in hotel. Staff friendly and helpful also excellent leisure leisure facilities another excellent hotel from classic Britain was upgraded to a club room which was great will definitely be back

Fabulous value for money. Room was excellent. Food good and leisure facilities enjoyable. Location was great for both Portobello beach and Edinburgh City Centre by bus. Added bonus in that we could take our small dog with us as hotel dog friendly

Excellent hotel. We have stayed there before but this time we had a Club room and it was fantastic! Everything about the hotel was great and we had no complaints, perhaps one little niggle. We booked a table in the bistro one evening and we waited at least 15 mins before anyone came to take our order. When this was pointed out to staff a member called Robert spoke to us and he apologised for the delay and he was exceptionally pleasant and a really nice young man. He kept us informed as to how long our meal would take. He is a credit to the hotel and he really made a difference to a little hitch.

This was my third time at this hotel,firstly the staff are all friendly, the rooms spacious and very clean.I was cerebrating my 60th birthday with my mum sister and niece, we all had such a lovely time can't wait to come back.And a big thank you to classic Britain.
