Booked a 2 night stay dinner bed and breakfast with dinner first night. Room was excellent a very nice suite. Ordered the times newspaper the following morning. Did not arrive. When we walked to the spa we were amazed to find we had to walk past the restaurant and through a golf club hallway! This was not a nice experience and once into the spa we found there was childrens swimming lessons on! Not exactly a spa break. Told the reception staff. They claimed they didnt know about swimming lessons. Evening meal was ok. Nothing special. Breakfast was excellent though. Would i come back for a spa break? No. 5/10

Fantastic stay at the hotel. Grounds and views are lovely, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The spa area is spotless and the views from the heated seats in the solarium are great. Have been recommending the hotel since we returned from our visit. Would definitely recommend a Clyde view room

Decided to book an overnight DBB at Gleddoch House as a birthday surprise for my hubby following the lovely reviews after their refurbishment. I must say I was extremely disappointed and I definitely would not return. We had an executive king room and we found bathroom sink and toilet to be were filthy, housekeeping had to be called twice! The room was covered in dust, something housekeeping blamed on the type of furniture. There was only one robe and one bottle of water, not what you expect for an executive room which charges £30 extra (our upgrade was all included in the price)this was eventually sorted. The two lovely pink chairs had dirty marks on them and the raidiator had a a large brown stain. The nineteenth bar looked nice until we noticed stains over the couches, the plates from previous customers took a while to be cleared. They didn’t have a tail menu, the staff googled how to make a Cosmo which was lovely. They also didn’t have our first 2 choices of wine from their wine menu but did recommend another which again was lovely. I didn’t want to use the spa which was the main reason for booking, due mainly to the lack of cleanliness through out . Dinner was a complete disaster, too many things went wrong to mention on here, in-fact I’m still waiting on the supervisor to talk to us. ( a more detailed review has been sent directly to the hotel) But the one think I will mention is what the waiter said to us when opening our bottle ‘ I don’t know how anyone could drink this stuff’ Breakfast the following morning was nice, however no fried or poached eggs on offer. At check out I was given the opportunity to speak with the manager but by that time I had had quite enough and just wanted home. Not what I would call a 4 Star boutique hotel, cleanliness throughout was poor, the hotel was full and the staff were overwhelmed.

Offer included a room upgrade, very nice room, large with free to use dressing gowns, slippers etc. Long walk with stairs to bar/restaurant.(Impractical to install lifts because of layout) Good breakfast with wide choice in a lovely location overlooking golf course and Clyde. Music too loud and poor choice! Staf friendly and helpfull.

Lovely hotel, our room was quite big & bright & very clean. Loved the bathroom with a walk-in shower & Elemis toiletries, also a plentiful supply of tea/coffee/biscuits that you don't get in most hotels.Only had breakfast at hotel but there was plenty of choice & food was delicious.

This is my 3rd visit to the hotel, I've stayed in the executive family rooms on 3 occasions and they are lovely, big and spacious with 2 double beds, the spa and pool are are great with lovely views, the hotel is spotless. The food is lovely but needs more of a choice for the market menu . I would recommend this hotel for couples or families and will definetly return.

Had an overnight stay and can honestly say it was one of the best nights we have had. Hotel was clean and tidy, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was amazing and views spectacular. Food was great - only moan is that they got the lunch order mixed up (wrong filling on roll) and brought chips to the table before we had anything else served. Not a big catastrophe though, just a niggle.

Lovely hotel,food first class..the staff where really excellent especially Lee and Alan which makes a big difference.. The room was smaller then expected but could not fault anything, glad we booked river view as well worth the extra.. Hope to be back soon.. goodie bag is a lovely extra..

Had a fantastic stay at the beautiful gleddoch hotel for husbands 50th birthday. Staff are wonderful and made our stay memorable. Cannot recommend it highly enough it's staff are so welcoming. We will definitely be back soon.

Just spent a Sunday night here, it was excellent value for money staff very friendly food was amazing first allocated room was near to heating or kitchen fans. Got alternative room easily and was very happy all in. This looks like our new overnight destination. JW

My wife and I had a lovely overnight stay here. Our room was beautiful with very modern furnishings including large TV and coffee making facil. We arrived early knowing the room would not be ready but intending to use the spa facil whilst waiting. The spa was really nice and my wife spent so long in here that we we late checking in. All in all we had a really nice relaxing time and had felt we had been away longer, thank you to all the pleasant staff for looking after us.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel for one night. The room was lovely and the spa was amazing. The staff were also first class, extremely welcoming, professional, friendly, accommodating - nothing was too much bother. My only criticism would be the catering side of things. On making our way to the dining area via the many stairs the stench of cooking coming from the kitchen was awful, definitely must have a ventilation problem there. Which was such a shame as this is the smell which greets you prior to entering the spa room and definitely does not reflect what really is a lovely spa area with beautiful lighting and spotlessly clean. I feel the dining experience could be greatly improved. There was no music in the dining room, It was slightly too cool for me, once ordered, the starters were served at least 30 minutes after we had ordered which I felt was a bit too long to wait, the same when waiting for the main course. The seafood tail was very small and not well presented (a wee dumpy glass). I felt it was very expensive considering portion size etc. The main course was fine but again a bit expensive as portions were small. I have to reiterate that throughout our stay all of the staff were first class and could not be faulted. If the problems with the dining experience were sorted this would have been an amazing stay. Hopefully they will look into ventilation of the kitchen area and play some background music in the restaurant and bar area. Otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Lovely setting, room was very nice and comfortable. General maintenance was poor and there was a lack of signage to various areas. The restaurant was interesting - the food was ok except for the steak which was nearly inedible as was the sticky toffee pudding which had been microwaved to death. The service in the restaurant was ok but were given the wrong menu one evening but was not informed that what was ordered was not available and an alternative was given without any discussion. what came out of the kitchen was often a surprise and not as menu.

Stayed here for 1 night with my boyfriend on a DInner, bed & breakfast deal. The hotel is beautiful and our room was stunning. We both loved the leisure facil especially the outdoor hot tub. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice and the food was fresh. The only disappointment was dinner. The service was very slow, we waited 1 1/2 hours for our main course. We ordered a second drink after our starter but it didn't arrive until after we had eaten out main course. This wouldn't put me off going back though as we still had a lovely time and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.
