A lovely hotel and staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you to cheryl on reception for sorting out our booking for restaurant. Also a special thank you to Anne Duncan in restaurant for breakfast very welcoming and also it was my birthday 7th September the day we left to come home and she gave me a wee angel she made at craft class. So special cant thank her enough. Thank you.

After standing in a queue for 15 minutes were given a room which on arrival at it was filthy, bed stripped and quilt on floor. We spoke to a cleaner who was hoovering the corridor who said our room wasn't on her list to do. Joined the queue again another 15 minutes to be given another room which on arrival to it was again not ready for guests. Third time standing in the queue was told to go and sit down and wait for a manager. Everyone trying to book for dinner were told sorry fully booked. The place is 5 miles from Dundee so hard lines if you're gry. The manager eventually arrived and told the girl on reception to give me a refund. After being in the place for an hour we left. Their customer service skills are non existent, didn't even get an apology or offered anything extra. The whole place looks grubby.

We had a fantastic stay and we got upgraded to the honeymoon suite which as a great surprise. The room was on the top floor in the main house so it had fantastic views over the hotel gardens. The room was very large with a beautiful bathroom. We used the leisure facilities on both days which were clean and perfect for a steam and sauna. We had dinner on the first night and the service was excellent. We couldn't fault the staff. Overall a great stay.

Pleasant stay with very friendly, helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was good, with well presented dishes. The chef and serving staff were very helpful when selecting options for the dietary requirements of my husband. Breakfast was good each morning and again the staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. We were DBB for 3 nights and I felt this was excellent value for money. We were upgraded to a delux room, which was clean and pleasant. I did feel the furnishings (dressing table and chair) were looking very tired and worn - this did let the room down a little and the carpet seemed in badly fitted with a wrinkle/bump or two. This let the overall feel if the room down and it didn't seem "delux" at first glance. The bathroom was much more modern and seemed to have been recently renovated in comparison. It was spotlessly clean. Overall we had a pleasant stay and given what we paid, I felt it was excellent value for money.

The hotel itself was good. Room and bed decent size with a nice bathroom and deep bath. Bit pricy at the bar. £8.70 for a glass of house wine. Starter was really good, steak not so good and the cheeseboard desert was average. After dinner we asked to sit at the bar but were told we couldn't sit at any of the empty tables and to find a seat in reception to which there was none. Breakfast was horrific. Would recommend going out for breakfast unless you are happy with cereal and milk. Air con was Broke however they did provide a fan quickly when we reported it. Didn't receive robes or slippers as advertised with room upgrade. I wouldn't say it was the worst hotel but don't think I will be back in a hurry.

Friendly reception staff on arrival. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The only reason I scored the hotel a 4 rather than a 5 was due to how small the pool and changing area was. We left after 30 minutes as the pool became very busy. Dinner was fantastic, the 4 of us had 3 courses each and cleared our plates. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good with a choice of cereals, fruit and a hot buffet. Breakfast staff were a credit to the Hotel - very friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Fantastic value and wonderful service. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, very attentive and helpful. The hotel grounds are beautiful and it was a peaceful place to stay. Would highly recommend.

As you are entering the parking lot, you get the feeling that it isn't a very nice hotel. However, once inside the lobby and the view of the beautiful garden. . . you feel a bit relieved. The first room we were allocated in was on the ground floor with 1 small window, overlooking the parking lot. It felt dark, dingy, and the a/c was not working. The receptionist was very kind to allow us to view another room on the 1st floor. The layout was the same but the view was a bit better and the a/c worked. The bed was comfortable and the room had all we needed for 1 night. Dinner and Breakfast was included. Staff is very nice - especially the ladies in the morning who serve breakfast.

The landmark hotel was easily accessible and in a good location. It was clean and fresh looking throughout, we thought pool was a little overcrowded during covid times with at least 3 families in at once, we got our free bottle of prosecco which was nice but no additional room upgrade as stated in our offer which did disappoint. Staff were friendly and welcoming however took far to long both evenings at dinner first night we booked for 6.30pm and did not finish dinner until well after 9.30pm, booked earlier thr next night so 6pm still didn't finistil 9pm waiting an hour for pudding. Breakfast service was good and staff were quick and efficient also friendly. On the first night we were sadly woken at 2.30am and 4.30am by highly intoxicated idiots running up and down shouting in the halls. They also let off the fire extinguisher which is when I phoned reception to complain and this was then sorted. We were looking forward to a nice quiet mid week break with quality and timely service ans sadly it just didn't add up. Disappointing overall

Would not stay here again even if I was paid to! still dressed up as Hilton but without the service breakfast food greasy. although can appreciate it was busy we didn't even get offered anything to make up for no room upgrade. told we could book in Swimming pool only 1 place available which we thought due to covid regulations we'd have the pool to ourselves the whole time wrong within 15 minutes a family of 6 came in. first time away since last year just gutted we picked the wrong place best part of our trip was a walk around Dundee upon leaving the hotel

Staff were pleasant and evening meal was good as well as the service. Breakfast wasn’t cooked well egg overdone, black pudding and mushrooms were left on hot plate to dry up. Cutlery had dried egg on and had to be replaced. Only one person serving so service was slow.

Lovely break away at this hotel. Food was lovely! However phone didn’t work in our room and we had a long walk to reception to get things we needed each time. Ie toilet roll, towels pillows etc
