My husband and I had an overnight stay and were delighted with everything regarding the hotel, from reception staff to dinning experience and use of facilities. Everything was just perfect. We also took a walk out and enjoyed the amount to do outside the hotel also. Would defo recommend this hotel for a special occasion or just simply a night away or weekend break ?

Nice hotel but shouldn't take bookings when they are hosting Christmas party nights. Dinner was served in a freezing cold room as dining room and bar was being used for party night. Service was terrible. Drinks didn't arrive until main course was about to arrive. Wine was plonked on table unopened without even checking if it was what we ordered let alone tasting it or even pouring it. Dirty dishes were left on the table between courses for a minimum 10 minutes. No-one bothered to check if coffee was required after dinner. Deal should have included glass of champagne with dinner which we never got. Wouldn't go back which is a shame because everything else was good.

I have stayed in the Highland Hotel previously, and have never been disappointed! The food is excellent, and the pool/spa area is also lovely. The hotel is situated perfectly near the castle, and also near the city centre. Will definitely be back

I booked an overnight for my wife and her friend. The majority of the stay was enjoyable however there was disappointment with the prebooked spa treatments as when they turned up they were left unattended for 20 minutes to eventually be told that their booking had been cancelled. ody from our end cancelled the treatments so it was either an excuse for an early finish for staff (5pm booking) or someone had made a mess of the initial booking. Whilst they were eventually booked into the following morning, it wasn’t without a fair degree of pressure applied by my wife to the duty manager. Initially they were advised they could book an alternative weekend but as we aren’t exactly local, that wasn’t suitable. The best offer was in the afternoon the following day but again that wasn’t going to be suitable with other arrangements made. They finally relented and managed 10am in the morning. Apart from this shambolic experience with the spa treatments, a pleasant enough overnight was had.

Bathrooms needed maintenance and upgraded to be 4 star. Cracked tiles and dirty grout .Food was lovely though. 3 star hotel at best..

We had another lovely Sunday night stay at the Highland Hotel and the service was as good as it always is. Nice comfortable rooms and the food was very good.

Very good hotel. Good situation for town centre and attractions. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed DBB and the food was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable hotel and a really interesting building. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Our room was lovely - spacious and spotlessly clean. Dinner was first class, beautifully presented and very tasty. We made good use of the leisure facil and had a great night out in Stirling with a fantastic buffet breakfast to round off our stay. All in all, a great visit.

Enjoyed our stay. Staff pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent and service very good. Only complaint was that the bedrooms were very warm and the bed sheets were uncomfortable. Not 4 star standard! Would return though I would score the hotel 8

We had an excellent tine staying at the Highland hotel. Fantastic friendly service, brilliant food and great facil. The only problem I had was the shower was very low, I'm 5ft 10 and it felt a little low. Overall fantastic time, will definitely be back.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Highland Hotel last weekend. Our favourite thing about our stay was the food! I got rather excited about each evenings meal and the choice at breakfast was substantial. The quality of the food and presentation of meals was very impressive. The waiting staff paid attention to detail and had excellent customer service skills. Out with the food, the hotel itself was very beautiful with plenty of history. We stayed in a deluxe double room which was well maintained and decently equipped. I found the bed to be rather firm and personally I would have preferred the mattress to be a little softer but that's just personal taste. Additionally, I found the room a little too warm (it wasn't warm outside when we stayed), and the heating was not on, I guess the rooms are just well insulated. I should have asked reception for a fan but didn't know this at the time. Location wise the hotel is very central to the town centre, the walk takes a matter of minutes. The lift was out of service for our entire stay which we didn't mind although this may have a been a problem for other visitors. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel, I would and have recommended this place to family and friends and would definitely return.

We recently spent 2 nights at the Stirling Highland Hotel and had a fabulous break. The hotel was great, the staff very friendly and helpful (especially the brilliant barman) and the food was delicious. The only hitch was with our Spa booking which they couldn't find and unfortunately could not fit us in during our stay. However, this didn't spoil our short break in any way. We will definitely go back.

We stayed for a three course with champagne and breakfast. Very good value for money and we got 20 per cent of spa treatments. Dinner was very very good. Spa is nice and treatment by Amy was fabulous. Breakfast was fine. One one wee niggle was that our room was on the ground floor and we would have liked to be able to leave the window safely opened through the night but the catch was very old and would not allow us to leave in a safe open position so we had to close it. But overall a very good value for money deal with a really lovely dinner. well worth the money.

We had a lovely one night stay in this hotel. It was quiet with very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. Dinner and breakfast was of a very high standard with good service. We will definitely come back to this hotel.

Comfortable room. Did have problem with shower but was quickly fixed by very helpful staff. Restaurant staff were very accommodating with food intolerance. Spa staff very professional. Overall had an excellent stay and would thoroughly recommend.

Room on arrival had door hanging off wardrobe were moved rooms immediately but new room was freezing called reception and were told to use a small stand alone oil filled radiator on wardrobe ..... the cost of the night away and cold room was not what to expect for the price being a 4star hotel very disappointed
