Hotel is well positioned in Southport. Staff really cannot do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble. Stayed there five times in twelve months. Ideal for us and the deal Classic Britain have is tremendous value.

Excellent value for money. No complaints whatsoever. Complete contrast to the review completed a few days ago relating to Inn On The Prom in St Annes.

A group of friends go away to different areas of the country each Autumn and it was my turn to organise the event this year. Feedback confirms that this break was one of the best in 28 years!! We intend to return in the future.

breakfast content was good but there is a problem with keeping the food hot. The bedroom was first class.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable Mon-Fri stay at the Ramada Plaza in Southport. The Hotel itself was lovely, Staff were helpful and friendly and food very nice if a little slow in coming out the kitchen. We were in no rush though and were happy to enjoy the experience in the modern bright dining room. Thanks to all the Staff.

This was our first break since my husband became disabled 18mths ago. We were both aprehensive. Room itself was spacious enough for wheechair. Unfortunately access to toilet was difficult due to threshold which was quite steep. My husband was unable to wheel himself over it into toilet. Plenty of handrails in toilet and well positioned. Otherwise ideal hotel for wheelchair users. Downside as other people have said on other sites lifts are atrocious. Both lifts very narrow and only the one going to car park. Though we wouldnt let this stop us booking again. Ideally situated for centre of southport and other attractions. Quality of food first class though feel the special menu should vary nightly.

A great hotel, stayed here several times before, but on this occasion extremely disappointed with the new menu in the Restaurant which was so good before. As we were staying 5 nights, the same menu runs for 7 nights with a limted choice on both the set menu and the A la carte. The soup on both menus is the same. On one night there was also a private function which left hotel guests without jugs of iced water on tables (which was needed due to hot weather) when asked were told they were in use for the private party. Not good business for paying guests. Will definitely think twice about returning and if do so will only book B & B and not DBB. As a final note I do like me vegetables with dinner and there was none in sight.

Hotel was comfortable, the service was good and the food was good. The only problem was the work going on at the ground floor but we appreciate that this is necessary. Would definitely use this hotel again.

After the initial scare of Classic Britain querying the booking (first time of concern over all the years) - The hotel is well situated for promenade. Room was very clean, good size (double double) and staff are unobtrusive. Leisure access was across road. Hotel was creating drinks area on ground floor. Breakfast was as expected for hotel of this name, good, self service with tea / coffee delivered to table and staff cleared plates efficiently. Dinner was a bit hit and miss. Restaurant staff were pleasant and efficient. Food quality was not of the expected standard - Tuesday resulted in two meals being returned for being over-cooked and declining replacement after waiting time of 2 hours and twenty minutes resulting in table discussion of transferring from DBB to BB), Monday and Wednesday dinner was acceptable, Thursday dinner was of expected higher standard. The dinner quality of food has resulted in a reduced rating below. Relaxing area beside restaurant inside and also patio area was excellent. Afternoon tea was pleasant. Visitors should be reminded of carpark charge. The hotel may wish to include an information / brochure desk for surrounding area for longer term visitors - promoting pier, promenade, Lord Street, skate park, Hesketh Park, beach walks and red squirrel walks (Formby), Another Place - standing statues, nature reserves. I would return, however, I would consider some days as BB and select to eat elsewhere on those days.

Choice of menu and quality of food for the evening meals were not as good as previous visits. Current trend of serving food on wooden platters means that food does not stay hot - our vegetables were cold.
