I was very pleased to see that the 'check in' terminals had been removed. My last visit to the Angus was marred because of these 'obstacles'. It was a better experience to have a member of staff greet us and give us some personal service. Spa facilities are good apart from the jacuzzi, steps far too high. Lots of people struggled to get in and out of it, needs looked at. Staff and food all good. Hope to be back soon.

Spa was lovely, although did see under 16s in steam room/ sauna. No signs or staff around to discuss this. Food was lovely too apart from 1 meal. The steak! Never again. Apart from that it wS an excellent base to see surrounding areas and attractions

Enjoyed a weekend away with friends at this hotel. Hotel was everything you need for a weekend away; rooms clean, tidy and comfortable, pool and spa excellent, and great food and drink. It's also in a lovely location for a stroll along the side of the river or a visit to the towns shops. This was our 3rd visit and already booked to visit again.

Had a lovely 2 night stay with dinner 1st night and afternoon tea on 2nd day. Great room, bed really comfy and had no issues with room 210 overlooking the front of hotel. Husband a bit disappointed with the choice of lager on draft. Was only Tennent which he would never drink as Heverlee had not been delivered for the last 3 wks. Breakfast was nice but could of done with more flavours of yoghurt and more choice of fruit. No porridge on the Monday morning, think it must be a weekend thing as I had it on the Sunday morning.

Hotel and staff were lovely. Good lovely and plentiful especially the breakfast.Room absolutely spotless.Rod Stewart tribute was dire. He didn't even know the lyrics to the songs and heard better at karaoke.

Hotel was lovely and clean, staff friendly, beds comfortable. Food was good. Due to some mobility problem staff could have pointed out where a lift was at the start. Apart from that would go again.

A super break again - only contention is that I feel £25/night for your dog is excessive- wouldn’t of known my dog had been in the bedroom - perhaps they could check room on departure & refund part of the charge. Otherwise a great break as usual- friendly helpful staff & good food !!

The hotel is well placed in the town, very comfortable and welcoming, with spacious lounges and dining areas. Although there is a Spa and pool, which was very popular, I didn't use it. Room was small but comfortable with everything needed, (2 singles). The food was excellent as were portion sizes. The staff are very friendly and helpful It is good value and I can heartily recommend.

Just returned after a short break, we were booked into one of the family rooms which I believe is dog friendly also. The rooms were very dated, wallpaper peeling off, mattresses quite worn could feel the springs. However said that the cleanliness of the rooms was great. We would revisit the hotel again

Bathroom is a bit dated. Room far too warm even for September. Need to find a better system with regards to treatments as there is no reception at the spa so didn't know what we were doing and had to go all way back to main reception to find out.

Excellent stay at the Angus Hotel. The food was lovely both nights and large portions. The afternoon tea although looked small was very filling and delicious. The room was a square view room very modern. The only complaint was the music is in the floor boards that covers the bar and we had to ask at 1am for it to be turned off and was assured it should be off by 9pm. The second night we called at 11pm to get this turned off. The spa was beautiful and very relaxing. Overall I would recommend this hotel and will be making a return trip in the future excellent value for money.

We had 2 rooms booked for a night away with my brother and his wife , we had some activities booked for the Saturday so stayed for 1 night and it was an excellent deal we got . The hotel itself from outside doesn’t look like anything special but the staff were great on reception , the spa area is very modern and such a welcome surprise. We booked dinner on our package and it was disappointing I’m not sure if it was down to having a large coach party in at same time or not but we weren’t impressed I’m afraid and there were a few tables who even sent things back . We did eat it but wouldn’t rush back for food . The rooms now where to start we had room 143 and 144 and 1 of them was updated and modern looking very fresh and the other was old and smelt like cheap aftershave not sure if that was to mask something but it was so over powering we opened the windows ! We had a good nights sleep and breakfast was fab . We would stay again it didn’t put us off and it was a fab deal we got .

Hotel is in a central location in Blairgowrie with plenty shops etc round about. Didn’t like the self check in computers at very small reception area although there was someone there to assist us. Our room was small with a king size bed and dated furniture although the oddly shaped en suite with walk in shower looked like it had been upgraded recently. Everything was clean. Bar area was spacious but very dark and a bit of confusion about what time they stopped serving bar meals. Bar staff told us 4.30 although menu says 5.30 so best to check. We had 2 nights DBB included but on the first night several items we chose on the menu were unavailable but what we did eat was very nice. You need to remember to book for your dinner as locals use the rather cramped restaurant as well. Buffet breakfasts were taken in a larger more open room and had a good choice of hot food but continental was limited and didn’t seem to be replenished much. Staf seemed pleasant & helpful. We didn’t use the pool or spa on this occasion but all looked lovely. Overall we had a lovely stay and would consider returning if we got a good deal & maybe a refurbished room.

The Angus is a great hotel and I have stayed many times. I believe it's the staff that make it a great place to stay. The pool and spa are great too. Only thing I would like to change was the heat in our room. We had no heating on and the 4 windows open and it was still extremely hot. So thus meant we did not sleep well at all. Room 143.

We had been meaning to try this hotel for some time and are very glad we finally did. Set in the middle of the picturesque town of Blairgowrie, close to shops, a lovely village green and riverside walks plus bus stops right across the road from the hotel. We had booked a "cosy" room but it was big enough and nicely decorated with a spotlessly clean shower room. The food we had was excellent especially the breakfasts and again the dining areas were very clean. An added bonus to this hotel is the spa and swimming pool which again carried on the theme of cleanliness, everything looked brand new. We would certainly recommend this hotel.
