We had a pleasant stay, and would be happy to return. Breakfast on the first morning was not slickly organised from the kitchen so we had to wait too long for replenishment of the hot buffet. During the first night there was loud noise in the early hours of the morning from a group of residents celebrating something. It wasn't near enough to our bedroom to be considered a major disturbance.

Our stay was lovely, not happy with the first room we were given, we were offered another room which we were happier with and spent our break there. Service was very good, everyone was friendly and polite. Food was excellent, we ate at three of the five options offered and they were all great. Compliments to the chefs in each place. Would be happy to go back.

Very nice hotel in the country only slight problem was that most of the power sockets in the room we stayed in are for round plugs these are not suitable for phone chargers etc these should be changed to a modern square 3 pin socket.

wonderful hotel, although perhaps 'Olde Worldly' but that, in my book, is a high commendation and most certainly NOT a criticism. Large roomy and aairy bedrooms with comfy sitting space. Friendly and attentive staff. Ample lounges and qquiet small sitting areas. Expansive well kept ggrounds.

the restaurant got a new breakfast station for hot food on our 2nd morning and what a difference!! We had our food served by a waitress and plates and food were lovely and hot. Room had a lovely view( the same room as our last visit a lovely touch) and the bed was so comfortable. Restaurant staff very attentive too and so friendly.

We've been to the Green Hotel a few times now and really enjoy it! All staff are very friendly but still professional in attitude. The food is superb with good choices on the menu. However, I have to say that our room(5)the bathroom is a wee bit tired and needs a bit of TLC. We look forward to our next visit despite this! Have to say too, that the website is very easy to use.

I would not go back to this hotel. We found ants crawling over our dressing table, bed and floor when we opened the curtains in the morning and staff where not helpful at all. I would not recommend this hotel. The review for food is for the restaurant in their sister hotel across the road.

Thank you your review. We are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the room you were allocated. We only have 2 four poster rooms at the hotel and these are allocated as upgraded rooms. We are very sorry that this spoiled your husbands birthday surprise. Please be assured that all complaints are taking very seriously and we will pass your comments in regards to the room and furniture on to the departments concerned.

Green Hotel itself was very nice. Receptionist was very informative. We ate at the Windlestrae which was disappointing. Service very slow although there appeared to be plenty of staff. Sat for at least 20 minutes and had to ask someone if we could order a drink.

Room a bit tired and no heating poor bathroom. Needed a portable heater which was ok. Very friendly and helpful staff. Value for money though, sister hotel seemed better with a star less?

Our 2 night break at the Green Hotel was good value. Bedroom was large and clean but stained carpet and very worn furniture gave it all a tired look. Bathroom too could do with a makeover. Staff were very friendly and anxious to please. In the restaurant the service was a bit haphazard due to the young waiting staff not really knowing what they were doing and obviously not getting co-operation from the kitchen with meals and appropriate tables. One person was trying to serve at the bar and bring wine to the tables - no mean feat! He could definitely have done with some help. Dinner in the restaurant was good but lacked presentation. The same menu offered both evenings was a bit disappointing. Breakfast was adequate. We spotted some guests having fish on our first morning. We asked the waitress about it and she didn't know anything. On the second morning we asked the waiter if there was any fish and he thought not but went off to ask in the kitchen and returned to say that there was smoked fish. This was delicious but why a closely guarded secret? Maybe a sign would be possible? We used the leisure centre in the Windlestrae. The staff were very welcoming. All in all an enjoyable break just felt as if in a bit of a time warp.

We booked for the Green hotel but we were shifted to the windlestrae at the last minute because of no rooms with disabled access in Greens although the room was nice in windlestrae the bed was most uncomfortable.

Hotel staff were friendly and help full. Hotel rooms need a little updating as dont quite feel they are 4* standard. food was great in the jocks bar and breakfast was great. overall a nice place to stay.

Enjoyed our stay as always - excellent food and comfortable room. Staff very helpful and my husband enjoyed his show at the 'Back of the Green'. Well done CB re a good deal yet again. Looking forward to future breaks via CB when we can get the time. We recommend you to all our family and friends e.g. Nephew, his wife and two little boys thoroughly enjoyed their stay at the 'Thomas Land' hotel (Drayton Manor)and got a great deal through CB - much better than their friends. Thanks to all at CB and The Green.

I had made two separate bookings - one for my husband and I, and one for my husbands mother and brother. We all had spacious rooms overlooking the courtyard. Rooms nice but the bathrooms are a little bit 'tired'. The only negative really was the kettle in my Mother-in-laws' room (room 3), that operated very poorly. When we checked, the connector fitted very badly and did not appear to be correct for the kettle. I am only pointing this out as we felt the kettle was actually dangerous to use, although we reported it the staff member who came to the room was of no help and we feel the management should correct this before an accident occurs. We all enjoyed our 'Castle Break' and felt it was very good value. There was a little confusion around the Boatyard Lunch i.e. how it worked and what you could have? Staff at the Boatyard were very pleasant and helpful and we all enjoyed our lunch - I would suggest some kind of 'voucher' similar to those for the castle boat trip? We have all stayed before at the Green Hotel and intend returning soon. (I have actually booked for November). The Beatles tribute show at 'The Back of the Green' was also very good and they should perhaps advertise these more. The staff on reception were very welcoming and helpful, and Yvonne even recognised my husband and brother-in-law from earlier visits. Well done Clasic Britain and the Green on another good value deal.
