Had a lovely time at the Fairfield hotel Ayr. The staff were do friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the rooms very comfortable. Loved it so much we can’t wait to go back.

The food was amazing, breakfast and dinner far exceeded our expectations. There was a very good choice and you could also pay a supplement to order from the a la carte. Staff were all very good. The restaurant was full at breakfast and dinner but the staff made sure you were served quickly and mostly with a smile. The staff work really hard so please treat them well. There was a mess up with the room I had booked. I booked the family executive for two adults and two teenagers. When we arrived we were told we had to wait until the receptionist checked something. I found this quite strange as I had booked it months in advance. The receptionist came back and said that room wasn’t available as it only had three beds?? We were put in two doubles next door to each other. I still can’t understand why we were only told this at check in. The jacuzzi was not working, which was a shame. Housekeeping were excellent and mad3 up our rooms to a high standard.

The staff were nice and the hotel was fine for what we wanted but it is not a 4 star hotel. It is rather dated, the jacuzzi in the leisure centre is out of order (which we were not informed of) and the dinner service was really slow.

We had an enjoyable overnight but there are a few things that can be improved or provided to make it exceptional. Check in is late and should be earlier.. Extra pillows in the cupboard because the ones provided were wafer thin. There is normally bath robes provided for guests using the leisure facilities but these were not provided and should be. Food was good but overpriced, thankfully it was included in the price of the stay. Bar prices were outrageous for wine, tails and spirits. Reception was too busy for one person. All in all good

The hotel on the two nights we stayed there was excellent. The room itself was spacious and maintained to a high standard. The breakfast and evening meal were first class with a good choice of menu for both served by a courteous and efficient staff at all times. We had no complaints on any aspect of our stay and will return at some point.

Smashing overnight- good big room - refurbished bathroom nice decor- staff pleasant and helpful- and we were last to bed! compliments to the Chef as the food was fantastic- quite unexpected as we had a deal and the food far exceeded our expectations - ran out of time to use the spa/ pool- would have been fab if it had been sunny as situated right at the sea- would definitely recommend!

We stayed at this hotel for a 1 night DBB. The hotel was nice over all (some parts slight dated) and the restaurant and food was great. Friendly staff. We had booked it as a spa break and were disappointed to find the jacuzzi wasn’t working and hasn’t been for some time. I wouldn’t say the spa facilities are 4 star which lets the hotel down.

Nice hotel, quite old fashioned, I.e you get a key with a large keyring for your room, no swipe cards. Receptionist pleasant enough,not very friendly. Room was spacious,nice large TV, again quite dated, no central heating, a very old rusty electric fan heater attached to the wall next to bed. Very distasteful. The floors in this room and next door we're unbelievably creaking, walking across room the noise was so loud, when next door woke up and moved at all we heard them and this was probably same for them. Flooring needs addressed. The bathroom was nicely updated, floor DID NOT creak, so whatever they have done there they need to do the whole room. Bathroom was cold and there was a radiator on wall, towel like rail one, no way to turn it on. The bed in the room was 2 singles pushed together- which is fine if a mattress topper or such had been used, it wasn't and one bed was slightly higher than other, so rather uncomfortable. Again disappointed. Food was nice, dessert disappointed with, banoffe pavlova, was more like meringue with cold banana cream and ice cream- no toffee or caramelised banana in sight. Chefs daily cheesecake, thought this meant what chef have made that day tasted more like what had been bought that day, shop bought bland cheesecake. Leisure facilities were nice, Small very small no more than 3 in sauna or steam room,jacuzzi out of order and changing rooms very small indeed. Staff at breakfast and dinner were attentive and hardworking.

First time at Fairfield,but certainly not disappointed…. Nice room ,lovely bathroom,friendly staff, and crucially lovely yummies. Delicious food, good choice of items, same at breakfast, cooked to order…. What more to like! ….. Now added to my list of Hotels to go to ….. Nice one Fairfield ….

What a fantastic hotel food was amazing staff were so kind the only thing I would say is the spa area could do with some TLC but rooms were beautiful and a 2 min walk to the beach.

Fairfield House Hotel is a lovely hotel just a stone's throw from the town centre. It is also very close to the sea and in better weather, there must be a great view from the restaurant. Our room was lovely and spacious. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The food was high standard but could be improved a little. The breakfast was excellent with a varied selection.

Perfect stay! Staff were lovely, room was a good size ans clean bed comfortable. Stayed on a dbb rate food was delicious and tails were amazing, especially the twister.

Overall we had an enjoyable 2 days the hotel was clean and the staff great Our Room was clean and comfortable I am not sure it was an executive as planed .One small thing when having a cup of tea in the room there are no coasters to sit cups on ( small point but will help protect furniture.) No information on the Hotel leisure complex .Breakfast was top notch again great service . Dinner Good.

Very disappointing our room had dust all down the walls , paintwork etc is very tired looking , we booked for 2 nights but checked out less than 24 hours later , the only good thing was the restaurant great variety of food
