Lodge On Loch Lomond Hotel, Luss

We chose here for a special occasion (boyfriend's birthday) Check in was very friendly and swift. I booked afternoon tea prior to occupying our room and this was delicious. The setting of overlooking the loch was unreal. The room was simply out of this world. The sauna was an amazing feature. Evening meal was delicious too. Birthday breakfast was brought to the room. We enjoyed it whilst enjoying the view of the whole of loch Lomond. We will recommend and definitely return.

I booked this break for my mum and dad who are in their 80’s. They really enjoyed it and said all the staff were lovely and helpful. Their room was very comfortable with a good view of the loch even though they were on the ground floor with car park in front. They say at the window watching the sunset every night. On the whole the food was good although a lot of supplements were added to the menu, when a set menu is already £30 a head it seems a bit cheeky to add supplements! My dad had to send one dish back as it was so bad. Breakfast was good although my dad who uses two sticks could not access the tea or coffee machines as they were up a step. You can’t Walk with two sticks and carry your own cup of tea! A teapot on the table would have been much better.

I cannot fault this hotel - everything was perfect from the location to the service of the staff exceptional - when we arrived the receptionist we very helpful giving all information required and directing us to our room - we had upgraded to a corbett room and i would recommend this room highly if not for the view alone - the room itself is very spacious with the added benefit of a seating area and topped off with your own personal sauna - if i was forced to give a negative I would suggest they had installed a walk in shower instead of a bath with shower - the restaurant is exceptional with tranquil setting and again outstanding views - the food was tremendous with the attention of the staff above par - the hotel is located a short walk to the village of Luss which we found very interesting. we will indeed be returning again

Amazing stay at Lodge on Loch Lomond, fantastic room and view of the loch! Food was great, wish there was a greater/more varied choice but food was mostly excellent! Cant wait to visit again in the future

Food was very poor. Fish was greasy no handcut chips. The breakfast was cold. I have mobility problems but lots of things you now need to get yourself at breakfast, tea, coffee toast etc. Plus getting drinks served was poor had to up and get it ourselves.

Was so looking forward to this stay. But was very disappointed. 1. No disabled parking at entrance at all 2. No lift 3. Service was awful. Had to order 3 times for one round of drinks. Staff kept forgetting. 4. Starter was so bad we never ate it. Was supposed to be pate but was like liquid put on plate with a ice cream scoop. £12.50 for a supplement for a sirloin steak. ??. Wouldn’t have minded if filet or rib eye. 5. Breakfast was very disappointing. Was low quality food used. 6. They could do so much more to make comfortable or appealing. So sad there are no lights at night outside aer and seating with heaters. Would be so relaxing. All in all would never go back. So disappointed as wanted to go for a while. My sister was with me and she had been before. She said standards had dropped so much

Room was lovely, views gorgeous from the balcony. Food was delicious. Would return in future, however we struggled to get parked due to it being busy and parking not monitored for hotel guests only. Nit picking at small things, duvet cover had small holes in it hidden by the throw on the bed and think there could have been a complimentary bottle of wine in rooms due to leisure facilities being closed for refurbishment. Think that would have been a nice gesture. Overall though it was an enjoyable stay and the weather made it worthwhile.

Only found out when checking in that the leisure facilities were not open due to refurbishments so that was very disappointing. We booked a double room as our 10 year old son was staying aswell but to our surprise when we found out he was sleeping in an old looking brown leather sofa bed and also the tv in the room had a big yellow line going down the screen. We also found someone’s used contact lens in our bed and my partner found a hair in her fried egg at breakfast apart from that the dinner was great the service was great the location was great and the weather was great.

Food wasn’t to our liking and wasn’t hot with long wait for drinks. Breakfast was luke warm but was eaten as we were dry. Money taken from card is more than the invoice. Room was fine with fantastic views. Walk along the beach and through town was lovely. After the long wait to go away it was a bit of a letdown because of the food and long wait for drinks. I’m sure it’ll get better and the length of the time staff have been furloughed won’t have helped.

We were in the Deluxe Corbett Double with sauna, balcony with peaceful and spectacular views. All staff were friendly and welcoming regardless of where you engaged with them. Food was ample and delicious with good choice of menu. Will happily recommend and return again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lodge on The Loch as we wanted something special for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. The Hotel is in a beautiful setting right on the banks of Loch Lomond at Luss. Our room, a Deluxe Corbett was huge and well equipped including a sauna. All Staff at The Lodge on The Loch were courteous, friendly and professional. The food in Colquhoun's Restaurant was excellent and there was a good variety of options to choose from. All in all we had a great experience and thought the deal was excellent value for money.

It was that good we stayed an extra night, the room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel, all covid guidelines adhered too, the food was great the only one thing was the full English must be made in large amounts early on and found it very dry and hard, but the next day we got the daily scrambled egg which was cheese and chive and the next day was cheese and chilli this was made fresh, the other food was spot on. We loved it and will go back, the staff are all very nice
