Very disappointed with our one night stay. Food was very good at dinner. Room 112 had constant problem with rumbling from radiator, was just about bearable till bedtime, then worsened. More concerning that attempts to call reception or night porter over 40 minute period from 12.30 am went unanswered. Will not be back.

Good location, friendly staff, excellent bar and restaurant service. Will definitely return and hopefully be able to use the SPA facilities as time was against us this visit.

We had an overnight stay at Woodlands and when we phoned to ask if we could bring a Guide Dog that we were looking after, the hotel immediately agreed. Unknown to us, Woodlands Hotel partners with Guide Dogs and therefore staff throughout the hotel are trained exceptionally well. The hotel sits in very pleasant surroundings and although weather was not kind (it was November!) there is a well laid out terrace for outside entertaining. Evening meal and breakfast meals were very enjoyable. Dining room was spacious but would benefit from some re-decoration. All in all we had a very comfortable stay.

Fantastic midweek break from 9-11th November. This hotel is fab and we had a lovely relaxing time. Staff were very polite and courteous at all times and very obliging. The leisure facilities, £5 for a 24hr pass, were amazing. The food in the restaurant is awesome and at breakfast, there was plenty of choice. Rooms are a wee bit dated but immaculately clean. We would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it to others. Karen & David McMillan

On arrival staff lovely, room was the last available twin due to a party. It was tired looking and quite dusty. Spacious and the shower room was also tired dusty with broken floor tiles. The staf around the hotel were fabulous and the food and service was great. Breakfast they ran out of items and the set up for the toast machine could have been in a better location .The beds were clean and comfortable.

A pleasant stay in comfortable surroundings. Had a lovely buzz about it with lots of people relaxing with coffees in the lounge on what was a miserable afternoon. Dinner and breakfast service was very good with professional staff. Food of a good quality and all tasty. Thank you to everyone who made our stay a chilled enjoyable one.

Nice hotel , friendly check in staff . Never had breakfast so can’t comment on that . Room very spacious Double King on the ground floor , the bath filled on about 10 seconds I’ve never seen water pressure like it lol . Fantastic deal £60 for the room for the night which included a bottle of Prosecco in the room .
