Enjoyable break with friendly staff .Room was clean and comfortable .Well situated for trips to Ayr ,Turnberry and Troon . Will go back .

Lovely hotel, very welcoming entrance. Modern, lots of seating available in the bar/ reception area as well as an outdoor bar area. Room was very spacious and modern. Bathroom quite dated compared to bedroom but for the price it was ideal. Our evening meal was good, very fast service. Only complaint was the Eton mess was awful no meringue at all! Would definitely return to this hotel.

Impressed with their Covid 19 precautions. Temperature taken on entry and alcohol gel at all doors. Room clean with real mugs (other hotel we stayed at had paper cups). Staff were pleasant and helpful (all wearing masks although we didnt have too.)Had dinner in the hotel. Food very good.

Beautiful hotel, very friendly and dedicated staff. The lounge is very spacious and stylish. The rooms are very large and comfortable. Everything was great!

Paid extra for a delux room to be given a room that had two beds in it and was old and dated to the point I called reception to ask was I in right room Room was very noisy when people were in the corridor so much so we were wakened at 2 am 3am 430am with other guests slamming doors and shouting in corridor Dinner wasn’t available till 830pm Soup had a bit of thin bread instead of a roll Some of food was hot some was cold Went for breakfast at 730am was self service again some of it was cold some was hot Tea coffee were stewed as self service Main area was beautiful the room and the noise was a total let down Shower wouldn’t work so left hotel not getting washed and totally tered as was woken up a lot during night I wouldn’t stay again and thankfully only booked it for one night

The hotel reception/bar and lobby areas are beautiful. Lovely restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The room we stayed in was lovely however the bathroom was really grotty. Unsure if the room we stayed in just hadn’t been completed after the upgrade but it was a shame as the poor state of the bathroom really let the room down. There was even little insects in the bathroom in the morning. It just felt dirty.

Lovely hotel, pictures on myhotelbreak really do it justice. Great deal on a 2 night break with bottle of wine in room and dinner on first night. Set menu choice with deal was really good, as was standard of food. Breakfast really busy on both days when we were there, Sunday especially. Food areas did get congested, as it's not huge platters of food they bring out, so food is hot, but did have to wait a good few minutes for dishes to be replenished. Coffee and fruit juice area also got a bit messy with empty pots and jugs. Staff were kept really busy trying to keep on top of this, and did their very best with a smile. Staff friendly, and keen to help, would deal with any issues quickly. Our waitress on the Saturday evening was so lovely helping us decide what to choose, and taking time to have a chat about our day. Room was on second floor, clean and tidy, refurb still to reach here but this did not have an impact on our stay. We really enjoyed our stay, and would go back if we were in the area again.

The Hotel reception, lounge and restaurant has been modernised to a very high standard and they are working through the rooms as well which are excellent as we were in one of the upgraded rooms. Staff are helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant was of a high standard and can certainly recommend. Will definitely be back.

Had a lovely 2 night stay. Staff were lovely and food was fantastic. Bedrooms could do with an update to match decor of hotel downstairs. Bed was a little hard and didn’t appreciate being wakened at 4am with fire alarm going off due to other guests smoking in room

Lovely reception/lounge area. However the room was not to the same standard First thing I noticed the headboard on the wall was much wider than the bed and there was only one bedside cabinet, about 18” away from the bed . It was a normal double size bed but I think it was designed for a super king. One of the bedside lights didn’t work, water in the sink only trickled away and in the morning the shower was cold so I had a bath instead. On going down for a pre dinner drink we were met with a load rabble, a whole wedding party in the bar area. As we couldn’t get near the bar or get a seat we went to see if our table was ready, which it was. We ordered drinks which took almost 20mins to arrive, service was very poor through out the meal. The noise from the bar area (wedding guests) continued till 8.40 which was not very nice while the young girl playing the harp was being drowned out by them. Certainly not a romantic meal setting (it was vslantinrs weekend) We did have a good nights sleep. Breakfast was buffet style though you could ask for poached eggs, which I did ask for. Again very slow service and when the eggs did arrive one was under cooked. I think this could be a great hotel if the rooms were upgraded and maintenance dealt with. Also the bar area should be separate from the dining area to allow a more relaxing, quieter meal. I would return but only after checking that there was not a wedding on.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Riverside Hotel, Irvine. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. We had taken advantage of their Wine and Dine offer and enjoyed our dinner in their recently refurbished restaurant. We are going back again the end of March,2020. Thank you.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a problem with the extractor fan in our room but the reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful and we were given a different room. The room was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were given a glass of Prosecco on entering the function room prior to our dinner and evening entertainment which we thought was a nice touch. The food was nice and the entertainment was good. Looking forward to returning soon.

Had a lovely time at the Riverside Hotel there was a party of nine and the staff were very friendly we were for the tribute night with meal food was good and the hotel it self was great rooms were spotless will definatly go again xx

Really friendly staff, great atmosphere and service! Welcoming and comfortable accommodation with a busy bar and restaurant offering delicious bar snacks and dinner! Would recommend as a weekend getaway with friends.
