I had been to the Highland Hotel in January . Fabulous! Returned on March for my friend's birthday .Again the food was excellent , hospitality 10 out of 10 .I went to the aqua aerobics and we both really enjoyed it. But most o , the receptionist Phillipa put the icing on the cake by arranging chocolates and cake at our meal.this made my friend's birthday extra special.

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and were not disappointed in any aspect. First rate service, rooms which were comfortable and excellent food.

Two night stay with friends with dinner on first night and B and B both days. Reception staff very friendly and efficient. Rooms were very nice and even although we arrived early they were ready. Dinner on our first night was excellent!! Breakfast both days was also good. Visited the pool area a couple of times - it was ok but could do with a bit of TLC and to be a bit warmer throughout - including the pool. Would we go back - absolutely.

The hotel is in an excellent location only a short walk to the centre and sights of Stirling. The food was excellent and the dining was a highlight of our stay would recommend having a meal at the hotel Pool area and changing rooms are a little dated and could do with a freshen up but clean enough the steam room wasn't working when we were there which was a little disappointing but is just one of those things Rooms are comfortable although we had asked for a quiet room and it was loud due to the hotel next door having a party/wedding going on so that wasn't great but overall it was a good stay

The Stirling Hotel is situated not far from the Castle and short walk to shops so prime site but that's the good part--- the Hotel is badly needing an upgrade and doesn't live up to a 4star our room was so cold I did say and was told the heating goes off at 4 and on at 8 but seeing as you don't get in till 3 and it was cold then was ridiculously (it's October)!!! even the dining room at 7 was cold can't complain about the meal which was delicious! We wouldn't go back to this Hotel for the reasons stated

Some area of the hotel are lovely however some are very dated such as the leisure facil. There was dampness and mild on the walls. Room was okay nothing spectacular. Felt that hotel was overpriced for what you get..

Pleasant stay for four of us celebrating a special birthday. Friendly reception staff and very comfortable rooms overlooking Stirling. Very good diner with pleasant and efficient service, especially Calum the restaurant manager. This hotel is very close to Stirling castle and the town centre.

A great hotel for a short break away for 6 sisters. The location is good, a short walk from town centre. Had everything we needed, warm room, comfy bed and everything worked!. Staff throughout the hotel were extremely professional. Nothing was too much trouble. We used the pool and gym each day and both were amazing. Our only comment would be that the pool area could be enhanced a bit.

pleasant stay in well located hotel with plenty parking. Meals were very good - well cooked and nicely presented food - although service variable depending on how busy it was. Buffet breakfast below average

Room looking very tired and was actually cleaner after our first night there. Dinner was nicely cooked and presented but not a lot of choice. Service was good for dinner. But breakfast had to ask for things and cooked breakfast just so so as it was not freshly cook but self service from hot plates etc. A bit of a let down considering the charge. Re that again we were given a bill for their rate and not classic britain's rate. We did tell them and they checked the booking and amended our bill. But rather frustrating we had to do this again.

This was our third stay at the hotel but unfortunately not the best. The dinner let our stay down. My wife's starter (melon) was hard and I had some vegetables missing from my mains. I mentioned this to the head waiter but he made a joke about it. Otherwise it was a good stay.

When checking in was advised only opening for dinner was 6pm.No one to greet us in restaurant at 6pm & we were only diners until 7pm.Food however was excellent.Arrived for breakfast at 9.40 & waited 20 mins for table for 6.Although couples arriving after us were immediately seated.Slow at replenishing hot dishes & ran out of croissants & pastries very quickly. Also had to query bill as we were charged for 2 bottles of wine although we had booked deal with Classic Britain for dinner bed & breakfast with bottle of wine for each room. Very nice girl (Emma)at reception quickly amended the bill but we were puzzled as to why this happened. Surely hotel should know what bookings they take.
