We had a lovely stay at The Westerwood Hotel recently. POSITIVES: All staff in every dept. are exceptional, great customer service. Rooms really comfortable and clean and during COVID are not entered by housekeeping. Strict with the wearing off masks through hotel. Food to a good standard NEGATIVE: The arrangements at breakfast are not very organised. Remember to book a time in advance, but you still may have a 15 min wait at entrance to restaurant. You’re given a menu for juices, cereals ..... and fried egg, but your egg may turn up 10 min before your table is called to the hot buffet. We have stayed at 2 other hotels since July and an ordering system/table service was used, which in my opinion a much better idea. It flows better. Hotel staff were very apologetic but it may be the way Hilton do it.

We stay at the westerwood a few times a year and usually love it but the last 2 times we have been we haven’t been impressed with the food. The steak was very tough and although the rooms we’re very clean they were very dated! Having said that the times we have paid to upgrade we have been given a more modern room. Service was great as always and staff extremely helpful and nice!

Lovely hotel, fantastic staff even with the pandemic they make your stay very relaxed. The views from the restaurant are beautiful. It was a limited menu but enough still enough choice. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Great place for an overnight break once we got the little misunderstanding with the booking sorted out at arrival. We booked 2 rooms but the hotel claimed only one despite us having paperwork. After that everything was superb. Lovely clean comfortable rooms, super evening meal - never came close to using up our £28 pp allocation and great fresh cooked breakfast. Recommend it to anyone.

Great 2 nights spent at Westerwood. The hotel was rather quiet due to the pandemic which was ideal for us as my husband has been shielding since lockdown. The first night included dinner and a bottle of wine. You were allowed up to £28 per head towards your meal. All the tables were a safe distance apart and the staf wore masks. The meal was excellent ( all 4 of us took the steaks which were amazing) we were slightly over our £28 but only with a few pounds. The only problem we had was that when out and about on Saturday we tried to phone up to book a table and after a good few tries we had to give up as we couldn't get through, we ended up booking one of the local Indian restaurants. We would definitely return there

Loved the hotel, felt safe with all precautions put in place. Staff wonderful and very attentive. Spa was lovely and relaxing. Our toilet hadn’t been cleaned but we didn’t notice until we had unpacked so gave it a wee clean ourselves so only reason I haven’t given them a ten for the room. But over all, lovely hotel and will definitely be back once pool etc open!

We stayed as 2 couple on a one night dinner bed and breakfast deal, we have stayed plenty times before at the hotel it was unfortunate that the pool and spa was closed but to be expected, wasn’t impressed with menu selection as it was very minimal, food was average, breakfast was served by staff and there were no issues, for the deal it was good but wouldn’t go back unless the spa was open

Excellent hotel. Staff were all very friendly and the hotel was spotless. Food was amazing and drinks service very good. Staff made everyone comfortable during this time with Covid.

Hotel didn’t look like much from the outside but was beautiful and immaculate inside. We stayed in a family room with sofa bed for kids, and it was really big and comfortable and room spotless. Only reason I’ve marked room a bit less was because bathroom was small and xpelair didn’t work so was very steamy bathroom after 4 showers! Breakfast was a little chaotic but given current situation and changes that have had to be made due to COVID we were happy to be patient and staff were always very nice and helpful. We had dinner as well and food was beautiful. Really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely go back.

We had a lovely stay here. We loved our King room. Our evening meal was amazing. The only let down was that we had pre ordered the red wine to be on our table but it was not on the table & when the waiter got it for us it was very chilled so we had to wait a while once it was open before drinking it. Staff were all really nice. The young slightly large lad was lovely & friendly. Sorry we didn't get his name. Breakfast was utter chaos as everyone must if descended at the same time. They were very short staffed & apparently only had one Chef on. We felt very sorry for the staff as they were completely rushed off there feet. We waited over an hour for our breakfast. Some who were on after us got served before us. However, we were in no rush so this is not a complaint as the staff did well despite the morning they had. Hopefully things can be a bit more organised in future.

Having stayed at the westerwood on numerous occasions it has drastically gone down hill from being owned by QHotels and taken over by the Hilton it is nothing short of a travel lodge. I know we are in different times and there was a limited menu, however on a 2or3 night stay this doesn’t leave much choice on our second night we were told they had no burgers left so asked for fish and chips yes you’ve guest it NO fish and chips either when I shared my feelings on this I was told I could have a sandwich when I said this wasn’t good enough I was then told there are plenty places nearby I could order food from if I went on google.totally disappointed by the receptionist attitude. We will definitely not be back nor shall I recommend the westerwood to anyone it’s an embarrassment! The staff in the dining area were very well mannered and tried their best but not once did anyone ask if we were enjoying our stay the girl at reception when we left didn’t acknowledge us in any way

It was worst hotel stay in only good thibg was the ladies on reception outstanding work they do. Had no stick on door foom wasnt clean correctly had to complain for 1st time ever. Food very disappointed. Really let down with this and wouldn't come back.

I stayed at the Westerwood hotel with my husband for our anniversary. The staff were very attentive whilst ensuring social distancing. The rooms were spotless and a seal on the door advising no one had entered after cleaning. The restricted menu for dinner was not great but understandable under the conditions. I hope that they will increase the choice available soon.

Only complaint we would have is we had to use room service at a £5 tray charge (we had a dinner bed and breakfast voucher) the restaurant didn’t open until 6pm with reservations only available later than that and the grill was fully booked from 15.45pm.
