Fabulous hotel, felt welcome from the minute we drove up, staff very friendly & courteous. The food was so fresh & tasty & the selection at breakfast was the best I'd ever had. Plan to return later in the year.

Fabulous hotel and wonderful staff. Made to feel very welcome, can't fault the service. Food was fantastic, will definitely return and have recommended the hotel to several people already.

Lovely hotel, very clean, staff were helpful. Only 2 minor hiccups which stopped the 10 for service. Being pregnant I asked for decaf tea and first they provided coffee then they provided flavoured herbal tea. The service at the bar for food was quite slow due to a change of staff member also. Apart from that the spa was lovely as was the breakfast in the morning and the on site Italian restaurant. We'd def visit again!

Stayed here for a night last week. Hotel is nice but I wouldn't say it was amazing. Having just been refurbished the interior was very dark - there is a fine line between subdued lighting and too dark to see!. The very dark green walls don't help in the main foyer. Path out to car park also has insufficient lighting. Also found 5 slabs sticking up which could cause injury. Room had just been decorated but there was damaged wallpaper (ok which does happen) stain to ceiling and dust behind cabinets. Not what expect in 5 star. Dinner choice was limited. Main restaurant is Italian / Mediterranean. The steak grill at the clubhouse has more varied selection but way overpriced. It was nice venue but wouldn't rush back.service in restaurants for dinner and breakfast was sluggish.

Having stayed here several times before, we were disappointed with the size of the room and a view of the car park instead of the sea. We were told by reception staff that we could not have a change of room as the hotel was full. Several items were missing from the room, including the hotel guide. When we eventually tracked down the telephone number for reception, repeated calls were unanswered. Some of the reception staff were not as friendly and responsive in person as we have found in the past. The refurbished bathroom was very nice but the bedroom did not appear to have changed much from the rooms we have stayed in, in the past. The refurbished atrium looked spectacular and the new seating gave opportun to relax in comfortable surroundings. The food in the St Andrews Bar and Grill was excellent, although pricey.

Had a lovely 2 night stay staff were lovely not many food choices if you are a fussy eater managed to have the same thing on both nights which was nice, room was lovely and spacious with a nice view would definitely return again

My partner and myself stayed for one night dinner , bed and breakfast and from the moment we stepped through the front door everything was WOW. We were greeted with champagne on arrival as it was mr birthday, loved the room , bathroom had been refurbished and was amazing, staff had left chocolates and a card for my birthday. Food was amazing . Staff were friendly and helpful and do happy at their work, we used the spa and had dinner . Was a brilliant night in a beautiful place would love to come back .

What a great night away in a beautiful hotel. Helpful staff and great food in the La Cucina restaurant. Will visit again. My only niggle was that there was not complimentary water in the room.

We have been to the Fairmont Hotel on a number of occasions now and will continue to re-visit. The hotel and everything it has to offer is outstanding, however be prepared to pay a little more at the bar. Good choice of food on offer at the restaurants. Looking forward to returning already.

Room and service were first class, absolutely no complaints. The food we had for dinner was lovely however for what we paid (£170 inc 1 bottle of wine for 2) I would have expected not to feel gry after my meal. 1/2 lobster to start which is served without a claw £20, the tiniest quinnel of chicken liver parfait,1/2 a fillet of sea bass that is served with nothing unless you pay for a side, steak served with 8 chips one cherry tomato and A button mushroom. It's simply not good enough. I love the hotel but I will never have dinner there again, rip off.

Excellent luxury hotel. Nice Spanish guy on reception told my husband and I that we were being allocated a refurbished room it was amazing, very big with a huge bathroom witderfloor heating, bath and walk in waterfall shower. All in pristine condition and with a lovely view of the golf course. Everyone was very helpful in parking our car and returning it to the front door. We were also driven to the restaurant in the clubhouse and after our meal taken back to the hotel. Our dinner was perfect as was the breakfast. Maybe more food stations could be added when the breakfast room is very busy.
