The bedroom and bathroom were lovely with a very comfortable bed. Loved the fact it had a magnifying mirror In the bathroom and a great shower. Food was ok but expensive for what you got. Would love to go back again.

This is a very beautiful hotel throughout and of very high standard, the service & attention to detail is impeccable. Our room was large and very well equipped with a huge and very comfortable bed. We stayed on DBB basis and the food was delicious, breakfast was la large traditional buffet which was fresh and hot, you can order items fresh to order & all toast & tea is made for you. The dinner menu was great, with nightly special, I upgraded to steak on both nights and it was a treat, my wife never and was easily equally impressed. There was a wedding and a separate function on in the hotel in the Saay and if had t seen a couple of brides I wouldn't have known. All in all a great high end 4* Hotel, Impecable service in beautiful surroundings, we will definitely return.

We have just got back from our trip. What a fantastic hotel. The room was amazing, so comfortable and large. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They changed fed our bedding from feather to polyester as soon as we asked. The food in the restaurant t was amazing. We are already keeping our eyes pealed for future offers as we'd love to go back. The location was great. Just a short drive into Aberdeen but felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. It was so quite. We could not recommend that this hotel enough.

We found a Blueberry under the dressing table. Staff in the bar took our drinks order then went to deal with an issue in another room. On his return he had totally forgotten about our order. Please note we consider these as very minor issues, this is why we never mentioned them during our stay. They will in no way stop us from booking this hotel again and we would certainly recommend it to others.

Enjoyed our one night stay at Ardoe Hotel. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Used the swimming pool which was great. Nice big pool for swimming lengths. Breakfast was good but our meal at night was slightly disappointing as we both ordered beef shin but one piece was tender , the other was stringy.

Hotel lovely and bedrooms excellent and beds very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Whilst we realise it is an old building the restaurant was very cold and diners were complaining as it is not a nice environment for dining. service in the dining areas was very slow and you either need more staff out front or they require further training in the basics such as clearing used dishes from tables etc.

We love staying at Ardoe house but this is the second time in recent stays where we have been extremely disappointed by the service in the bar. The bar was extremely busy and the staff were not coping, the end of the bar was left with a large collection of dirty glasses, the staff were snapping at each other on distribution of tasks, we waited 20minutes to have our drink order taken and served. Despite having a varied tail menu the staff appeared to have little knowledge on how to make the tails correctly. The end presentation of the tails were poor. Also the fact the bar staff had to waste time crushing ice with a hand operated machine is ridiculous, this caused everyone to have to wait even longer. I also had a latte on my previous stay and the same member of the bar team did not know what a 1 shot latte was, when serving coffee the team should be trained in different styles, she was also very rude when I tried to explain what it was. The same server also came through to the dining room on 2 seperate occasions and more or less shouted out to the remaining tables who was having the red wine... not professional in the slightest. I will then move on to the spa, as I stated in the previous paragraph we love Ardoe as it has everything you want for a relaxing weekend, what is not so relaxing is turning up to the spa and having 2 separate piles of drirty towels lying around one outside the changing room and the other in the female changing room, these were hours worth of towels, we were in the spa for 2 hours and they were all still there when we left. We also noticed 3 different members of staff on our time there, what was it they were doing? Apart from hiding through the back! I will add that the spa manager was not on and when he was the following day the cleanliness was far improved. My final comment is on the jacuzzi, this used to be lovely and hot, nowadays it is more or less look warm. Please address! To end this on the good points the hotel itself is well kept, the rooms are lovely, the hotel reception staff were fantastic and the food in the Blairs was great value for money, tasted fantastic and well sized portions.

I again enjoyed my couple of nights at Ardoe House Hotel. Staff were very pleasant and ready to answer any queries. The only complaint I have was when I came to pay. I gave my credit card when I arrived and understood that it would be kept until I settled my bill. When I gave my credit card on leaving, the card was declined. I do not keep a high limit on the card but I knew there was enough credit on the card. I phoned Santander today to ask why the card had been declined and they said £235 had been paid on the 2nd October so when I went to pay £248 on leaving there was not enough credit. I was very embarrassed and upset about this. (Santander said the £235 had been returned to my account on 4th October.) I hope this distress will not happen to anyone else where a misunderstanding seems to have occurred. Was it lack of staff training?

really nice setting, just 3 miles from Aberdeen city centre. Rooms are of the highest standard and i had the best sleep i have had for a long time !!!. Evening meal in Blairs was poor. Too many tables in the room for a start. Main course wasn't very warm and venison sausages had very hard skin. A few other clients around were also displeased with their meal. Breakfast in the morning was fine apart from having to ask for beans or haggis which i thought should have been standard. Leisure facil were good and just across the gardens in a separate outbuilding Overall a first class experience but food could be improved.

Had a great stay in hotel. Everything was very good. Leisure centre good and surroundings were lovely. Good weather made it even better. Nice to sit outside and enjoy views. Would go back again and recommend to friends. Excellent.

We had a lovely stay, great room, food and service, it was our anniversary and we really enjoyed it all. Wasn't happy making my own toast on Saay but realise it was extremely busy so understand.will definitely come back as soon as possible.
