Spent 2 nights at Peebles Hydro and had no hot water for the duration of our stay. Lack of choice for dinner, no A la carte menu available. Service in dining room on 1st evening was very poor, food had to be returned as it was cold. It took from 6.30 till 8.45 for service of food. List of complaints given to hotel manager. Overall a disappointing experience.

enjoyed our stay very much although bedroom was cold but they gave us a heater and showers were not very warm but they had just opened up after renovation would definiately go there again

I travelled with my aunt who is wheelchair bound and this was totally catered for here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to anyone. pleasant, quiet room with pleasant surroundings the staff were most helpful. I would give them l0 outof l0 but I didn't I gave them 9 out of l0 just to keep them on their toes

What a fantastic break we had and all down to a comfortable and spacious room which amply satisfied our needs and the dogs!!!! Food and service excellent!!!

Had a fantastic break 10 of us went for my mums birthday excellent value food and service great could not fault it Really friendly staff mum and dad got a free upgrade would thoroughly recommend it Looking at returning

Arrived at 3.15pm told our room was not ready,when we got to our room only 1 bathrobe.Went down for evening meal on Friday no waiter came to ask us if we would like the wine list or a drink.on website it states no jeans allowed in restaurant for dinner I counted at least 20 people men and women wearing jeans and t-shirts.Having stayed here on several occasions in the past this was the first time under the new owners and I feel the Hydros standards have dropped.As this was a birthday treat for my wife I was left a bit disappointed.

Just returned from a weekend at Peebles Hydro. Excellent. Staff very attentive and well mannered. Rooms clean and warm and very comfortable. Bathrooms again clean and well maintained with everything we needed supplied but old fashioned. Food - meat and two veg plain but good.

Decor very tired and dated especially in the bedroom..curtains carpet bathroom and bedroom furniture..dresser very sticky and dirty as was the side of the wardrobe too upholsterey on both chairs was torn/ripped not a good look and this was an upgraded room..would not recommend this hotel and we would not go back.This was our first and only visit shame really as we expected better from this hotel.

The room was not the best, but for the amount paid we wouldn't have expected the best room. Room was adequate for a one night stay. Bathroom was cold,but left the door open as the room itself was warm.

Stay in room 51, on entering the room was struck by the huge bed however not overly comfortable. The hotel has a planned refurbishment and clearly it is over due. The restaurant staff were all very good and the food at breakfast and dinner was very good. Replinishment of breakfast items could have been quicker. I would return but probably wait until after the refurb.

We had a fantastic stay at Peebles Hydro. There was only 2 of us but we stayed in a family room which was very spacious. We would stay at the hotel again with the kids next time as there is so much for them to see and do.

Good size room with a stunning view across the gardens towards the hills covered in snow. Breakfast in the morning was buffet style, plentiful and excellent. All staff from restuarant,cleaning,reception were really friendly and helpful. Would love to stay again.

We had an enjoyable stay at Peebles Hydro. The staff were efficient, welcoming and helpful. The accommodation was comfortable, warm and pleasant as were the public areas.
