Delightful Central stay in Harrogate!, Very friendly reception staff, fantastic breakfast, but rooms a bit dated and tired. However, fantastic value for money and will be certainly return!

The first impression as we drove to the hotel was good. Once inside it didn’t spoil. A beautiful old building with lots of original features. The creaky floorboards added to its character. The staff in all areas are very accommodating and friendly. The bedroom we had, 124 was a really good size, at the front of the hotel. A comfy king sized bed, and a small but compact bathroom with shower over the bath. There are some parts that need touching up, but all in all a pleasant stay. The buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful, a choice of continental or cooked breakfast. Staff kept all food items stocked up.

We spent two nights in this lovely hotel,tremendous value for money!Beautiful breakfasts,delicious dinner in bistro bar "the place" and luscious cream tea!! Superb location and first class service from all hotel staff.Thank you for a great three days.

Great reception staff, made us feel welcome. Unlike the barman in 'The Place'. We had booked the 'cream tea on arrival' deal and while in the bar the barman loudly complained to his colleague that all the 'cream tea people' were getting in the way of him doing his usual work! The same man then went on to imitate to his colleague another customer who had made a point about the light above her sofa being extremely hot. He did not take her issue seriously and his attitude was not customer friendly. Our room was large and comfortable. The only issue was the poor lighting. There was no main ceiling light, only bedside lamps and a standard lamp. It was great that there was a desk area with a large mirror above and a hairdryer next to it but this was useless unless you could dry your hair in daylight. With only the minimal light from the standard lamp it proved impossible to see what I was doing. Overall, this was a great value offer - a central hotel for places we wished to visit, good food at breakfast and accommodation.

Had a lovely stay in Harrogate at the Crown Hotel. Right in the centre of town, pleasant reception staff and a spacious, clean, warm room. Cream tea was very nice with huge warm scones, evening dinner was good and we had a lovely buffet breakfast next morning. What more could we ask for a very reasonably priced stay. Would definitely revisit.

Fabulous hotel. Right in the centre of Harrogate. We were very impressed with the deal. Lovely staff. Smashing breakfast of cereals, fruits, porridge, yoghurts then a buffet fry up. Wonderful! We'll be back.

We stayed for 2 nights B&B & D. The hotel was spotless and the staff are so helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was nice but not a lot of choice. Well worth a visit.

Had a great one night stay here, the staff were all really helpful and friendly. The food was great, we ate in the hotel for our evening meal as well as breakfast, can not find fault with either. Our room was large, very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again, lovely hotel throughout.

Lovely hotel excellent location, staff very friendly & helpful, Booked the executive suite and wasn't disappointed very spacious, had cream tea on arrival which was very nice & served by a very friendly member of staff. The breakfast the following morning was superb, plenty to choose from and excellent quality, I would 100% recommend this hotel.

I booked a 1 night break for my mother and I for her birthday and mothers day present, and would definitely do it again, the hotel is spotless, staff very friendly and a lovely atmosphere, we had cream tea on arrival, bed breakfast and evening meal and it was well worth the money ( £89 for the both of us) and food delicious. I got the deal where you pay £15 each extra and get £25 each towards the evening meal. We had starter and main course and when we asked for the bill the waitress informed us we still had £10 left to spend. We did not have desert as both were full and we would have just have been greedy to eat more just to spend the £10. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The only disappointment was the parking, very limited spaces and the surrounding area quiet hard to find parking space

Beautiful hotel right in centre of Harrogate,hotel is full of character food was divine, staff lovely happy to help always smiling.Room was lovely spotlessly clean bed comfy a bit noisy in the morning with bin men at back of hotel but didn’t spoil our stay loved it carn’t wait to go back .

We only stayed one night however, what a wonderful hotel. Set very central and everything is within easy walking distance. The staff were helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. The room was very clean, large and warm. We both slept really well and have already said we will return here.

We stayed in room 130 which was a suite and was absolutely massive!! Only negative comment I have is that the decor and furniture were quite dark and drab. With a change of carpet and dark furniture, the suite would be fantastic for someone to stay in. Having said this, it wouldn't stop us from booking the hotel again. Staff were friendly and there was plenty on offer at breakfast. Overall it was a lovely stay :-)
