Lovely hotel with large bedrooms. Food beautiful. A bit out of town but worth it.

Had greatstay for show at Armadillo 16th floor good views over Clyde, Science Centre grear wee walk along the quayside Staff excellent at reception and waiters serving meals very friendly. Marked 8 for food as got steak order wrong had to send back... got rare when ordered medium well my preference chef gave 30 yard death stare. Also found brvice very slow waitred15 minutes to get served at 4:30 didn 'nt even bother going to bar after show as queue was about 12 deep?? Had complimentary mini bar with room but would have liked a late night tail found bar staff a bit ambivalent unlike other staff who were very friendly and chattie whether in lift, corridors or meal/ breakfast may be because bemed under staffed there is more bar staff in my local on a Saturday night Room nice and clean no complaints

The hotel is a favourite of ours as we have now stayed on 3 occasions. The reception staff, the restaurant staff and the cleaners we have spoken with and dealt with on our previous stays and this weekend have been brilliant. The room we were given was room 1415 which has a fantastic view and was very clean and tidy. So, no complaints so far.But this as I said is the third time we have stayed, and I have to say the bar staff are absolutely terrible. I thought the service the first time was bad but I said to myself we are just coming out of covid so give them a chance, the second time we stayed there was one particular bar person(male) who was very cheeky seemed angry and not happy and took it out on the other bar staff and on the other guests the selection of drinks available was very small also. This time the bar for what we were looking for was fully stocked but again the bar staff didn't seem to want to serve at any pace, they didn't look to see who would be next to be served, there does not seem to be a set way of queuing up at either side of the bar or enough staff to deal with both sides. We ordered food and did not get offered a receipt my fiancée then said to me that she thought we had been overcharged and that she had to say to the server three times about the 20% discount. My fiancée then went up to the bar to ask for a receipt and found that we were being overcharged ten pounds for our order which the bar person then said to my fiancée well you ordered the wrong thing which my fiancée replied I brought the menu up and pointed to what I wanted and you wrote it down so that episode took 25 minutes time which we could have spent together, the bar person then said as we had waited a while for our food we would be complimented the original order and would then get our actual order but this did not happen either. We do really enjoy staying in the Crowne Plaza but the service at the bar really needs to be looked at and we were not the only ones not impressed as people who were standing waiting were not as quiet as we were they were letting their disappointment known. So, I have still scored the service high as I do not want to take anything away from the staff I mentioned earlier. Sorry I have had to write these comments, but I feel if the hotel sorted out the bar, people would be happy, and you would make a lot more money from it as it would be with the right staff more productive.

We had a lovely overnight stay. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived at 4pm but another room was quickly organised on the 14th floor. Amazing views. Lovely bottle of red wine included. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We were not disturbed by noise from outside the hotel. I would definitely return.

Arrived at hotel to find queues for check in but these went down very quickly.A few staff at desks dealing with check in. A few more working than there was the last time we were there a couple of months ago.There was a problem with the PC that was being used for us but dealt with quickly and we were in our room with 10mins. Service at dinner was excellent and not kept waiting for any length of time for each course. We also had club room in our deal and picked the right night as we were able to watch the fireworks across the city.Excellent night and will be back again.

My partner and I stayed at the hotel on Friday the 4th November along with some friends we enjoyed the hotel alot. The staff were all friendly especially enika I think the lady's name was that showed us our rooms overall very good stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza. Room was fantastic- huge, comfy bed, good toiletries / wee extras and lovely view. Wee queue for check in but only took 15 mins or so. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was phenomenal- was very busy but still plenty of food / choice and was on till 11am so no need to get up at crack of dawn. Tiny criticism was that our phone in our room didn't work to order room service and it just rang out when we used our own phone to try and contact reception, but I just sent my partner down to order so I could continue being lazy ?

Was disappointed this time ,pool shut ,Bar meals menu removed at 5pm and Theatre menu put out after me phoned hotel asking about meals they told me I could have same menu in bar as the restaurant ,Fridge in room not working and no bathrobes, bar staff so laid back so overall not a good time compared to previous visits where I gave all 10 .

Hotel was lovely. Wee bit of confusion on arrival as they said they didn’t have a room available. This was quickly rectified. Food at both dinner and breakfast was lovely. A very good deal.

Booked this hotel for the spa facilities for my husband as he has MS and always book hotels with facilities, on this occasion the spa was not open any of the days we were there which was very disappointing, no pre warning email as I would have cancelled and booked another hotel as it is a deal breaker for us to have these facilities as he does not get away much due to his illness.

Unfortunately we didn't enjoy our time there this time. The sliding doors of the wardrobe were sticking out at bottom of bottom runner. The tea tray is at a bad angle to lift of shelf and the point for the plug was broken. Went to bathroom to wash hands and the water was running black gunge. Maintenance fixed 2 off 3 problems buer was still a problem. Front of house manager gave us an executive room. !!! I am glad we didn't pay for that there was only shelves to pu It clean that's all. But it was made out to be something special but did not have any drawers for your bits and pieces..No problem with staff excellant. We were glad only here for one night xx

We had a lovely stay in the hotel. We were attending a wedding in the Clydeside distillery, which is very close by,, therefore we did not have time to use the leisure facilities so I cannot comment on those. Our room was on the 14th floor which had an amazing view over the river. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We had breakfast in the hotel which was lovely. There's a great selection . Overall, we had a lovely stay and would recommend the hotel.

This hotel is great. We booked using two vouchers we had got for Christmas last year, upgraded to an executive super king room. The room was on the 16th floor and afforded panoramic views of the river, exhibition venues and beyond. By upgrading we were able to use the executive lounge on the 15th floor which offers teas, coffees and soft drinks, crisps and biscuits throughout the day. From 4.30pm till 7.30pm wines, beers and canapes are also available, we had dinner in the hotel (included in the room rate). Again, views over the river were great. The only thing I would say was that the aircon was a bit fierce in the public areas. Breakfast offered lots of choice and the hot buffet was replenished regularly

No robe and slippers in room as advertised. The executive lounge time for complementary beer and wine was 6pm until 8pm not 5.30 to 8.30 as advertised. The drinks were warm and late, we had to inform reception there were lots of people waiting. The cooked breakfast buffet was never full, the dishes were too small so couldn't keep up with demand. The positives were good food, great staff, brilliant views and very clean. I'd definitely go back ?

Had lovely stay , food was lovely , only problem was that the Gym and pool area on the Monday where on time table all week and on the Monday didn't open till 12pm , I did ask the receptionist on checking in (Sunday) and she said that it wouldn't effect me !

Awful stay. Checked in & given wrong type of room, called down to reception to be told there was no other rooms available as fully booked. Called my hotel breaks & told nothing they could do as we had already arrived at hotel. We decided to go speak to reception in person, another member of staff managed to accommodate us by changing our room from twin to double. She told us that in future to book with the hotel direct as third party sites are notorious for getting bookings wrong. We had some lovely drinks in the bar and went out for the evening. We returned to our room and at approx 23:30 we had another guest (in the hotel next door to us) bang around and violently shout. He carried this into the corridor banging on our door & others. It soon quietened down until 2am! I was abruptly woke with his shouting and banging, this happened on and off for the next hour. At 3 am he began beating his wife who I could hear call out. I called reception to ask for security but they never showed. After a very disturbing night we decided to have a later breakfast. We arrived at the restaurant at 11:01 to be told breakfast had closed despite us checking all hotel literature which clearly stated it ran until 11:30. We left the hotel having no sleep or no food. I should also note the beds were extremely uncomfortable. We will never return.

We had another fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Glasgow as always. The upgrade to the clubroom was definitely worth the money and would do it again. Staff were very helpful especially the girl serving in the club room.
