Stayed for 1 night and booked DBB for me and my wife and our dog.We were give a room with a Loch view and it was one of their refurbished rooms so all was good.Reception and hotel staff excellent and polite food in restaurant for dinner and breakfast was lovely and the bar in the evening was great we could even take the dog in.Been here many times and will be back in the future and it was a great deal and price organised by MyHotelBreak.com.

If you want or expect a sterile, characterless, modern chain hotel, this is not for you!! Some reviews on other websites are a bit "picky", but Killin Hotel is old, quirky, cozy, comfortable, and friendly. An old school Scottish Highland hotel in a stunning setting. The Lounge Bar features a wood beam ceiling, a log fire, comfortable seats, and a good choice of beers and spirits reasonably priced. Evening Meals in the modern conservatory overlooking the river are excellent. Breakfast in the dining room is not cooked to order, but there is a reasonable choice nevertheless. We stayed in Room 41 on the first floor overlooking the river. It is a small twin, but well appointed, with tea/coffee making facility, Freeview Led TV, and modern ensuite with shower cubicle. As a consequence of the old building, the shower cubicle is small and the temperature and pressure can vary, but we didn't find it a problem. The historic lift is a joy! The internet has a range extender, so coverage in most areas of the building is good, but can occasionally be slow as the local telephone lines are not yet fibre. Typically of the hotel industry, the Staff were of various nationalities, which in our opinion is welcome. Service from them all was friendly and warm. We stayed on a myhotelbreak dinner, bed, and breakfast package. Excellent value. Our 4th visit, and we'll definately be back again!

Very warm and comfy room, comfy bed and great to have a bath in our room. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The food is good quality and the portions are generous. I would stay again.

Had a very relaxing night here...great food..nice atmosphere..great breakfast in the morning..room very comfortable..bathroom was lovely...only 1 issue...no blind on the bathroom window...therefore i showered in the dark...other than that i would definitely return.

Picked a lovely weekend to visit Killin for the first time had a great time lovely hotel and with the log fire burning and great background music playing couldn’t think to leave the bar area and go elsewhere, food was delicious and the young bar staff on duty on Sunday and Monday night couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. All in all a great experience

We enjoyed our stay and felt the food and service was good. We would however say that the room, a family room, could have been layed out better so that each of us would have a bedside table and also,enable me to get out of bed to the bathroom without disturbing my wife. This would be easy by putting the double bed where the bunk beds were and vica versa. A small point but we felt that in our room we could have had biscuits which is quite usual and maybe even a small bottle of spring water.

Had a nice stay staff and food were good. Only fault there was no for a shower I was in room 33. A member of staff came gave me a key for room 23 but still no in that room either. Very disappointed felt a bit rushed at breakfast as we were the last ones in due to shower incident!!!

Another relaxing night at the killin hotel.Lovely atmosphere and staff so friendly and helpful.We had the four poster room which we be our choice when booking again.Food in restaurant of good standard.Looking forward to next visit.

The hotel was very clean and the dinners very tasty. The down sides was the size of the room was probably the smallest we have ever been in and there is need to improve the breakfast where choice was quite limited and the cooked breakfast did not seem fresh cooked. There was a big problem with the evening dinner booking system as we encountered problems both nights despite booking our times early on. The hotel is in a good and pleasant location but afraid we won't be back.

Our party of 8 in 8 rooms loved the situation and the weather was good enough to sit outside by the river. Bedrooms were mostly fairly small but perfectly adequate. Staff were pleasant. Food was mostly good, but one plate had to be sent back as it was cold. Staff did not seem to appreciate the difference between vegan and vegetarian (despite assurances in advance on the phone) and our vegan had to have the same starter (soup) both nights. No non dairy spread. At breakfast orange juice had run out before 9am and was not replenished. Would come again though.

We had another great visit here. We had a large room on third floor with a view over the river. It was lovely. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Perfectly situated by the river and close to beautiful walks. Certainly won’t be our last visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed our break here - helped by the hotel s position in a scenic location. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was enjoyable and general cleanliness and amenities were good.
