Great location. Loved Durham a great little break away 3 course evening meal was fantastic food. All staff were very polite and lovely. Room was nice n spacious, carpet just needed a deep clean.

this is a lovely hotel very attentive friendly staff room was sanitised and clean. near to town centre. The breakfast was excellent. The evening meal was very limited and not very good. My husband ordered the steak with a £10 extra charge this was very tough and he was unable to eat it.

Staff very pleasant, lovely room ovelooking the river, easy access into Durham city.Only downside was, not keen on buffet breakfast - too many people buzzing about,prefer table service but food was of a good standard, very tasty and restauarant manager really pleasant. Overall lovely experience would definitely go back.

Lovely stay as always. We had a meal booked in the restaurant on the evening but struggled with childcare and the late booking, the staff were really understanding and helped us organise the food to be brought up to our room instead. We also had breakfast there and after I mentioned that I was a vegetarian, they went out of their way to cook me some amazing veggie sausages, they were delicious. Thank you!

Lovely hotel in a great location. Good food on the deal we booked. Staff were brilliant whole stay. Only problem, we were unable to book any treatments in the spa, and as such were unable to order prosecco etc like all the other spa visitors appeared to have. It seemed to make hotel guests seem like second class citizens in the spa, even though i wanted and tried to book in and was unable.

Room excellent clean and river view. Parking easy and £14 for 24 hours Staff wonderful friendly and accommodating Breakfast good quality and great service just adapting to new processes with covid restrictions. Dinner service difficult needed numbers on tables as food was taken to various tables and waiting staff had a difficult night with new layout and newly opened. Restaurant manager excellent in dealing with concerns which was mainly down to chef not informing her of lack of fresh fish and chips ! Would recommend as second day of opening and excellent location will return as staff wonderful

3rd time staying here this year, was as enjoyable as ever. The gentleman that checked us in, I believe he was called mark, couldn’t have been more helpful. Our original room hadn’t been cleaned from the previous users, (no ones fault mistakes happen) so the guy upgraded us as a way of an apology. The new room was fantastic, we also eat in the restaurant, again the staff were fantastic and couldn’t of been more pleasant. Thanks for a lovely stay.
