Highly recommend this hotel been going now 3 times year for three years with no complaints. Unfortunately this time when we arrived we 2.15 we had to wait till 3.45 to get into our room. On getting in to our room discoved there was no prossecco had to go and ask. I know it’s small things but when on an over night stay it’s time wasted that we could hav been out doing things.

Staff were all welcoming and friendly. Food in restaurant was of a good standard and ample in quantity. Rooms and beds were reasonable. Our stay was extremely good value.

This was a great hotel staff were really nice, food was brilliant and certainly plenty of it, even the dog enjoyed his massive bed. Will certainly go back cannot find any fault. Beds changed daily

We were a party of four who were staying at the Gables for one night ,can,t find anything to complain about ,staff,food and rooms were all excellent ,and we had a bonus as the weather was brill too ,so we all had a fantastic time.

have been to gables in November last year and it woz fantastic. this time however room wasn't great. heating wasn t on in dining room and we were freezing it woz the day it woz snowing. waitress tried to turn it on but she didn t succeed. food however was amazing. don't think I d go back to the gables as I woz disappointed I ll try somewhere else next time.

Staff were very friendly, especially the 2 young waitress. Food was amazing - only thing I would say is our meal felt quite rushed. Room could have done with a little TLC, but was clean, bed was comfortable and lots of hoer. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

Over the moon that the request for the room we requested was granted, couldn’t fault our room at all, jacuzzi and four poster bed. Food was tremendous and staff very friendly and helpful. The deal we got was great too, 100% recommend staying here

Not as brilliant as our first stay had been. Last time we were in the refurbished rooms, but this time we were in the rooms that look out onto the main road and not far from the front door. The Security light shone right into our room. When the curtains were closed, it wasn’t so bad. The bathroom was big, making it a bit chilly at first, till we turned the heating up. The taps, especially cold one, were not turning off properly. Food was EXCELLENT again....my only criticism was that the fish my wife chose was ridiculously huge....wee bit off putting.
