We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was very clean and comfort. The food was excellent and there was an excellent choose of meals on the dinner menu. If I had one criticism it would be that the crockery and glass in the restaurant was very cheap looking and could be improved greatly. We order a lovely bottle of wine which we had to drink in thick cheap glasses. It deserved a really nice wine glass. And the food also deserved nice crockery.

Had a lovely stay would recommend this hotel to anybody hoping for a nice relaxing break, and would definitely return again in the future. Lots to see and do close by. The views from our balcony were amazing of the countryside and the lake. Walks on the door step with fab views too.

Hotel was lovely, rooms clean and everything that was needed, good size with a balcony. All the staff were good and friendly, especially in restaurants, good quality breakfast. All things in place to be covid safe.

Good value deal which included dinner on 1st night and Sabrina cruise. There was some difficulty with room door card entry which was dealt with efficiently, however because of the delay in gaining entry to our room we were too tired to raise any other issues with our room. There was an overwhelming musty smell in bathroom and the cleanliness considering covid could have been alot better. Noticed cobwebs over bed on 2nd evening. The hotel was busy but noticed it was all a little tired in decorating and furniture

Breakfast was lovely, dinner was a good choice, rooms dated. First night very cold no heating on asked for heater so one was brought to our room but didn’t work, second night heating in hotel was turned on so was a warmer night. Only food at lunch time was sandwiches, had a nice time but wouldn’t stay again.

Nice hotel I had expected a somewhat restricted menu due to Covid but not as restricted as we were offered. So we ate out on the 2nd night, Different breakfast service over the two days, wearing of masks not enforced and the waiter struggled to get people Without masks not to queue and stand over tables whilst people were eating. So quite uncomfortable with that.

The standard of cleanliness in the room was totally unacceptable and should have been 100% in these times. Upon checking in, there was urine in the toilet, an empty beer can and cigarette ends on the balcony. I complained, the duty manager gave the bathroom a once over, but the balcony was left and the room needed a general good clean. There was black mould on the bathroom ceiling, the balcony door didn't lock and we didn't sleep under the bed covers, there was a hair and crumbs in the single bed. The first night we had no lights as they went off and we had to wait for maintenance to come in the next day to sort it. The restaurant food was OK but the staff were clearly pushed.

Made a complaint about cleanliness of room and breakfast on Monday morning was practically told that the manager had same breakfast and it was fine. Sent photos of pictures of the room was told they hadn't received them. Very disappointing Not the standard and not had enough feedback only sorry !!!

Excellent weekend break. Hotel is very clean with excellent Covid 19 measures. Lovely friendly staff. Food very good despite reduced menu and rooms very comfortable. Our package included boat trip in Shrewsbury. It was an exceptional value beak for the money. Highly recommended.

We arrived at the hotel and were shown to a room on the lower ground floor. This was very dark and we would not have felt secure in there. We were then allocated another room which although let in light did not have a balcony even though I had reserved a superior room with a view. As this appeared to be the only alternative we accepted it. The food was good and the hotel felt safe with its Covid arrangements. Staff were very helpful and Martin deserves a special mention.

Dreadfull hotel with rude staff also we should of been told that due to storm damage the hall way to our room had wires etc hanging due to the roof colapsing yet in an empty hotel there was no other rooms we did not stay but wasted 3 hours getting there then 2 hours waiting to check in to be told about the damage we should of been told the night before and we could of cancelled then

Hotel in lovely surroundings. Assured a ground floor room before visit but not available on arrival this was very annoying as husband blue badge holder due to health problems as well as awaiting replacement knee.Management seemed to be blaming this on covid? and did not address the problem at all or take the time to respond to email!! Kirsty on reception very helpful and went above and beyond to help us but stay was spoiled by initial mix up & lack of empathy from Manager!!
