Fantastic over night stay. Stay was extremely helpful & informative. My partner loved the fact it was a pet friendly hotel as well. Food was excellent & my tail was very enjoyable.

Stayed here a couple of times rooms on lower floor so much nicer than upper floor.Great selection for breakfast evening meal was amazing. The deal us fantastic. Will definitely return again.

Room was lovely. The restaurant was very disappointing, we were handed a menu with hardly any choice on it for what we would eat. Finally ordered something to pick at, then the table next to us clearly on the same deal as they were handed a menu like ours alongside the a la carte menu & told if they didn’t want anything from the set menu they could choose from this with a £15 allowance eat. Overall very disappointing

As always we really enjoyed our stay,..the food was delicious ? our room was Cozy…the only thing I didn’t like was chipped enamel in bath ? it is not hygienic..and bath wasn’t cleaned properly But there was a shower? other than this it won’t stop us staying again ?

Had a lovely overnight stay with my daughter as a birthday treat to myself. Hotel is lovely..rooms are modern clean and comfortable..all staff from checkin to bar and restaurant were very pleasant...food was amazing. Will definitely be back

absolutely amazing from start to finish . staff lovely and joined in the banter food good drink superb ? nice quite rooms but absolutely huge , we could have fitted all four of us in one room , the wine in room was a lovely welcome even if it didn't last long will definitely book again and the deal is definitely worth it

This is the 2nd time staying at the Riverside Hotel. I am happy to say, that it is good value for the 2 night stay. Room was fairly spacious, if a little tired around the edges. My only discomfort was the bed which I found was simply too firm, but then that is personal taste. Room was comfortably warm, easy to regulate with the radiator. Being on the ground floor, the window was locked and unable to open, which I missed. Choosing time when to have dinner is good. Meals were well cooked and of a good size from a set menu. Breakfast on 2nd day was very chaotic! A wait for an empty table and a very long queue at hot buffet due to wait for replenishing, also table where hot beverage is served. Waiting for this meant your breakfast was stone cold by the time you returned to it! I would suggest individual pots of tea/coffee for your table might be a good solution. The bottle of wine in room is a nice touch and appreciated.

The Hotel on entering was very clean,spacious and bright. A welcoming feeling. Our room was lovely and spacious plenty of room and a lively bottle of wine on arrival. We had a lovely lunch and coffee and cake which we felt was very reasonable priced. Staff were very polite and friendly.. Our evening diner was soup and fish chips. The soup was lovely and hot as was the fish and chips. The chips had a lovely flavoured coating which we enjoyed. We have booked to come back at the end of the month. The town is about 35 mins walk and 5 mins in a taxi. We really had a wonderful experience at your hotel. Thankyou.

Had a most enjoyable stay & great value for money. Garden View room was very spacious with 2 double beds & very comfortable. Food was delicious & could not fault the hotel. Have booked again on the same deal.

We visited on Tuesday and were well impressed with the hotel. Our room was lovely and of a very good size. The bathroom had a bath which is fairly unusual these days!!! We had dinner in the restaurant and it was absolutely delicious!!!! I had the haggis starter and my good lady had the lentil soup. Both were very tasty indeed ? To follow, we both had the steak pie and it was wonderfully presented with fresh vegetables and potatoes and tasted delicious!!!!! We then decided to splash out on dessert (we we were on a two course table dote deal) We had sticky toffee pudding and lemon meringue. Both were fabulous!!!!! Especially the lemon meringue with home made lemon curd and fresh fruits. It was OUTSTANDING!!!!! ????? We had a lovely chat chat with Rachel (food and beverage manager). Rachel is a credit to the hotel.....very friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel, menu etc. All the staff we encountered were really pleasant ? The hotel is beautifully presented and the value for money was excellent!!!! Very happy indeed ?

Lovely hotel, spotless and food great only down side was the bathroom, very dated and the bath had very dirty marks right along the base of bath, quite reluctant to stand on it.

Thanks for a great stay ,first time taking our dogs to a hotel ,Food was lovely as were all the staff I interacted with ,I would recommend this for those of us with 4 legged friends
