After a slight hiccup with the room on arrival which was dealt with quickly, we had a most enjoyable stay, so much so that we booked to stay another night. Thank you to Rob for his help and patience. He really could not do enough for us. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had 2 breakfasts and 2 evening meals and the food is outstanding. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Spacious clean room with wonderful view, delicious food, beautifully presented and excellent location by side of canal. Young waiters at evening meal were exceptional and personal greeting at breakfast by owner was most welcome. Can't believe we haven't been to this hotel before but will certainly return.

This was our second stay at the Rendez Hotel; we enjoyed the first visit that I booked it again to take my wife away for a surprise night away for Valentines. Last time we stayed the hotel was very busy as there were a large number of group bookings but they coped with it very well and the service was excellent which was the main thing we remembered about it as well as the meal we had which was lovely. This time however, although it didn't appear to be as busy as before the service in the restaurant was a bit chaotic. I don't know whether they had a last minute staffing issue but it was markedly different from our first visit. It took an age for our drinks order to be taken and arrive; we ordered a bottle of white wine which the barman just left on the table so we had to attract someone else's attention to ask for a wine bucket. We had to ask for butter to go with the bread rolls. After I had put some of the vegetable that came out with the meal on my plate a waitress came along and took it away and gave the vegetable dish to another couple across the room from us. I can only put this down to the inexperience of a young waitress but it was rather embarrassing for the other couple who, quite understandably refused them, and us. Having said all of this the meal itself was delicious and the breakfast the next morning was very good as well. We had a very nice room and the young girl on reception when we checked in and out was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent as well and we will put the odd service down to a "one-off" and would stay again.

My wife and I stayed at the Rendez for 2 days during the half term break. The hotel is situated in a lovely location on the Canal and it was only a short walk up the canal path into Skipton. Car parking was very convenient and the hotel staff couldn't be more helpful. We had upgraded to a Canal view room and I had requested a high room floor. We had a lovely view of the hills but the only downside was that, as we were on the 5th floor, we had to stand on out tiptoes to see the wildlife on the canal. My fault for requesting the high floor! The room itself was large and clean with the only downside being the bed which was not very comfortable and appeared to be smaller than our double at home. Staff throughout our stay were friendly and very professional. We were on a DBB break and the Baby Swan restaurant had lovely views of the canal. The meals were great and could not be faulted. We also liked the fact that the owner of the hotel chatted to the guests ensuring that all was well. Leisure facil were also great and we made good use of them while there. If it was not for the fact that the bed was not as comfortable as we would have liked we would have given a 10 rating and would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Had a very pleasant stay. Hotel was nice albeit the room could be doing with an update but the room was large, lovely and warm. Bottle of wine in room on arrival which was very welcome. Staff were pleasant with a can do attitude. Location excellent as you are able to walk along the canal to the centre of Skipton who took about 15-20 mins. Dinner in the restaurant was very good value and good quality food.

This hotel lived up to the majority of the reviews we had read before our visit, infact it exceeded them. The staff, without exception, were friendly and helpful, our room clean and comfortable and with a view of the canal which we didnt expect and the food very good. The leisure facil were well worth the visits we made. All in all we'll be back.

The staff were superb, even before we arrived ... I had rather stupidly, forgotten to take the voucher for our booking and Choe, the receptionist I spoke to from the car whilst we were en route, could not have been more helpful. This theme continued throughout our experience - the leisure facil team were totally honest, when we enquired about how full the pool was we were told it was not very busy but that the water was cold - I love honesty and openess. The room was clean and comfortable, although we would have preferred to have a bath not just a shower. The food was fantastic and we would not hesitate to return should we need accommodation in this area.
