A great hotel, with friendly and helpful staff throughout. Restaurant food is really fresh, well-cooked and nicely served. All in all, a great experience.

Lovely hotel. Everything you need from a room. Stayed on a DBB deal, fantastic value for money. Food was delicious in the restraunt. We had breakfast in bed which was lovely too and delivered at our preferred time. Was a 15/20min walk into Prestwick town centre, which we did as we had lovely weather. Would definitely recommend.

Hotel was great value . Our 2 night deal was for bed+breakfast with dinner on 1 of the nights . The choice of food was excellent and we also took advantage of the Friday steak night ( 2 steak dinners and a bottle of wine for £29) . Rooms were very clean and well equipped and the hotel is very handy for Ayr and Prestwick . The staff were very friendly and helpful and apart from a little hiccup over the table we booked for the Saay night , the service was good.

I am found the hotel excellent value for money ,room was clean and comfortable .The only slight problem were the pillows (personally too soft for me ).Nice dinner and lovely breakfast

Fantastic weekend at the Carlton Hotel for our group of 8 friends. The accommodation was lovely and very clean. The food was beautiful and so well presented. The staff were a credit to the hotel. Everyone was helpful, cheery and courteous. Ten out of ten on all counts. We'll be back definitely.

A lovely modern hotel with friendly pleasant staff. Dinner was nice enough very large portions. Breakfast was good apart from very hard poached eggs. Would not hesitate to recommend hotel and will definitely return.

Great over night stay..room basic a few things broken eg phone line connection , broken bedside light and other 1 missing pretty poor lighting in general,crisp packet under chair and crumbs. We didn't complain as we were only staying the night. The restaurant is very modern and great atmosphere. Food was very good and so was service. We will definitely come back

Best bit was the friendly and helpful staff and excellent food. Nice room but small, difficult to manoeuvre round table and chairs. Wet room took while for floor to drain meaning wet around toilet area for while after showering. Would return.

Wouldn't stay here again!!! We booked through classic Britain on a two night dinner on the first night deal, when we got to our room (209) which was very small and the noise from the kitchen air conditioning units was concerning but we were told it would go off at 10 o'clock when dinner was over, next problem was the heater it didn't work and the room was very cold the receptionist brought us up a fan heater which was also very noisy but we were told the hotel was fully booked so we could not be moved. Dinner was nice but I had to ask twice for the sweets menu then ask again if I could order!!! The next dat after been woken up at 6am with the noise from the air conditioning unit we went down for breakfast, no glasses for orange juice no orange juice no bread for toast!!! After checking my booking in details from the hotel I noticed they had us booked in for only one night, I went to speak to the receptionist who said it was there fault would I like to go to a sister hotel of there's as they were fully booked, alough we were not having the best of time we did not want to move as we were there for the races so said no, when I went to check out and pay the bill was all wrong and to top it off they charged me £1.50 for a cup of coffee with my breakfast!!!! Will not be back!!!

We had a really enjoyable stay at the Carlton Hotel. We had a small hiccup twice when our room card didn't work upon arrival (but just quickly found us another room) and then the next day the card stopped working in the room we had been moved too. This did not really impact on our stay but it's just annoying. We found the hotel to be very presentable - lovely modern interior and nice gardens outside with plenty of parking. We were met with a very warm welcome at reception and they were very pleasant and helpful with any queries we had. Check in and check out was efficient and staff very friendly. We dined in the Logan's restaurant both nights and thoroughly enjoyed our food. The first night was a 2 course set meal included with our stay and there was plenty to choose from and we were not disappointed. The wine was excellent too and the desserts were delicious! The second night we ate a la carte and again the food was fantastic - the burgers are huge and very tasty. We only took breakfast on one of the mornings (our choice) and had the full Scottish breakfast. This again was very good. Self service for toast with only 1 toaster is about the only thing I could fault. Couldn't get near it for other guests so just had untoasted bread instead. Perhaps something to consider - a 2 slice toaster is not really sufficient for the size of the hotel. We found our room to be fairly clean (could see some dust and cobwebs) and well equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. A bit noisy from other guests in the room next door at times. Overall we had a fantastic stay, would highly recommend and would definitely return to stay here.

we booked 2 nights away to Carlton for our parents as a Christmas gift, they have came home raving about it, telling us it was perfect and they had a fabulous stay. They said they would go back in a heartbeat, It's now going to be an annual Christmas present.

Good quality hotel. Rooms were spotless, food great and friendly staff. Did have a problem when asked reception for more pillows,did not receive them till the next day which did leave to an uncomfortable nights sleep for both my wife and me.Please don't let this put anyone off as I would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

pleasant stay ,friendly staff and clean rooms ,firm bed, could do with a lift ( thats a big investment) if you have mobility issues try for ground floor. Only negative was Friday breakfast when despite asking for some wholemeal bread for self service toaster none of the 3 staff bothered to get some and it took a much firmer (near angry) request after standing about waiting patiently for 5 min.
