Excellent hotel, very pleasant staff, room was perfect with plenty space,all necessary facil and very warm and clean. We had a choice of eating in the restaurant or the conservatory, both of which were beautifully set out and the food was perfectly cooked, served piping hot on well heated plates - something rarely encountered in hotels these days. The hotel was well situated a short walk from the town centre and public transport facil.

Good location and great deal. Given upgrade to executive room and local produce goody bag on arrival as part of package. Friendly staff although service in retaurant a little slow, but more than made up for with quality of food. Would happily recommend to all.

Had a lovely break in Montrose. The hotel was very clean although there were a few maintenance problems needing attended to. One of the handles on the bath was taped up as it was broken. It should have been replaced. Also the balcony which was great to have the metal railings were in urgent need of a paint. It would have been nice to have had a table and chairs on the balcony as it was in a lovely setting. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our break and the value for money was excellent.

We had a lovely one night break at the hotel. Dinner was very nice as was breakfast. The room was very comfortable and well presented.

Booked an offer last minute which should have included a room upgrade. Friendly staff but had to ask for the upgrade at check-in but it was well worth asking for - upgrade room in new modern wing of hotel was large and lovely in every way.. Food was good too. Will definitely consider going back to Links Hotel again.

Room itself excellent but bedding did not smell fresh. Bathroom basic despite the revamp. Would have liked the opportunity to dine from the a la carte menu, paying a supplement. Bar prices extortionate. Staff welcoming and friendly.

This was a great trip. Hotel, staff,food & accomodation were great. Had a great offer on the late deal and our room was in the newer building attached to the original building. Everything was more than we expected and we were truly spoiled. Definitely going to visit again soon as there was only 1 night available and can't wait to make a return journey.

Celebrating our daughter Emily's 2nd birthday we stayed for one night and was given a lovely suite room with a welcome pack of local produce and cot in room. The en-suite had a jaccuzi bath and the food was lovely. The hotel was a short walk to the miles of glorious white sandy beach and water play park which Emily loved.

Although it was a lovely room in a good position -Room 5- the plumbing was very poor. The toilet was fine. The basin taps were slippery and could not be turned with wet hands, also it was not a real mixer tap but one spout with two separate streams of hot and cold water. The shower was terrible. The controls had no rhyme or reason - pure trial and error. The water went cold or too hot while under the shower. Altogether very unsatisfactory when naked, we,t cold and soapy!!! It was a great pity because we had an enjoyable stay otherwise. There was no lift.

Hotel room fantastic and most of the staff lovely. Food was adequate but breakfast really needs improved. It was buffet style which I have no oection to however refilling of hot items was slow and some items quite dried out. I would return as had a lovely break and hopefully food will improve

Enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the Links Hotel, Montrose: quiet-yet-convenient location; welcoming and helpful staff; excellent room - spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. Dinner in pleasant, informal surroundings of the conservatory - the table d'hote menu not extensive in choice, but perfectly adequate - and the food itself of good standard and generous portions. We would happily return.
