Inn at Lathones, St Andrews

On arrival the overall that the hotel was very tired, in great need of some TLC. The bedrooms are not as nice as the pictures on your website show, and after moving us to a room where the radiator in the bathroom worked, the poor guy who was running about 3 jobs managed to get us :- bulb for bedside lamp; cable for TV to work; milk for the tea/coffee tray.....we didn't ask for a bulb for bathroom mirror or battery for the safe, he had enough to do. These oversights are BASIC items which should be ALL there when guests are arriving. Duncan and Dave were very attentive and the service was great. The food was AMAZING - each course at dinner was great and breakfasts were also very tasty. I think you should rethink the 4stars, for the accommodation and at least!!

Large room and bathroom with jacuzzi bath. Flat iron steak was really nice. Friendly, helpful staff & nice relaxed atmosphere.

The food at this hotel was exceptional. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. The view from room was lovely we had a patio door leading onto wooden veranda backing onto a field full of sheep. This to us was a home from home view but imagine that for someone living in a town it would be very quaint.

stayed 1 night on a 2 week tour of Scotland and loved this place. room was quaint and comfortable and bar and restaurant were excellent, food was good and two ladies who served us from check in to check out were fantastic. would do it again.

Room was in small cottage-like building. Comfortable bed, clean room. Highlight was the view out our window of sheep grazing in the filed beside us. Dinner was excellent, prix fixe for 2 or 3 courses. Good service and a cosy atmosphere.

After our original hotel closed down the weekend before our trip!, the keeper advised me to call The Inn and see if we could strike a deal. What a result that was.... Phoned Sunday night and arrived Tuesday afternoon. Siobhan had everything in order and our twin rooms and suites were spot on. The food for the cost is fantastic and Stevie pulled all the stops out and cooked us a traditional Scottish dinner on our last night. It was tremendous. All the staff are friendly and really joined in with the English banter. We had a great time and we will be returning.
