Great food and location. I was very disappointed with bed. I had no sleep. It was two beds together and mattress was horrendous. Said they would refund the parking but never got it refunded.

The Radisson, Durham really was a fantastic hotel and the staff were fantastic, too. I was a bit unsure about travelling during these times of Covid, but I felt very safe. From the moment we checked in, the receptionist demonstrated great care in ensuring that infections did not spread, by wiping down the counter after each guest. Breakfast was fantastic and had such a big selection that was cooked really well. Again, the staff were great and although were working very hard, taking breakfast orders, serving, and then cleaning tables, nothing was too much trouble and they were always very cheerful and happy to help which made our stay even more enjoyable. I will look forward to staying again.

Absolutely fantastic staff let us check in early as we arrived early our train wasn’t till 2.47 on day of checking out let us check out at 2 instead of 12 breakfast really nice evening meal menu good choice drinks bit expensive but nice staff rooms clean nice view of river very near town and pubs overall fantastic stsy

An ok stay, I didn’t sleep great the pillows are flat and hard, our tv went off for about 45 mins. However the whole set up for covid was good, and people stuck to the rules so I felt safe. The staff were fantastic, organised, friendly and charming The deal was great Dinner bed & breakfast, however that price reflected the standard of food, it was ok. We didn’t stay for breakfast as I hadn’t actually slept and wanted to get home

had a lovely overnight stay here hotel was lovely room was very comfortable with a river view and absolutely no worries about social distancing or hygiene the hotel is following all government guidelines to the letter could not recommend this hotel highly enough and almost forgot the breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly

Hotel was fine, couldn't use spa facilities due to the time slots we wanted were filled,?breakfast 1 of th coffee machine was broke so had to line up, didn’t seem to be enough staff, I’ve been here a few times now and always thought it was spot on, I Know with everything going on it’s tough sometimes, but just felt a bit let down!

Spa came to the rescue. Stepped into the shower without checking - After showering discovered no bath towels in the hotel room. My partner tried to phone reception but not answer so they took a trip to the reception desk. Towels were promised. After, almost half an hours wait and no answer from the reception desk. I eventually rang the spa to check that I had the correct telephone number for reception. I explained that we had no towels and without saying any more, the spa receptionist offered her staff to deliver four towels to the room, explaining that the towels are spa towels and wouldn't be up to the quality of the room towels. Hey I was grateful for a towel. But no worries, the towels were soft, fluffy, very large and delivered with a smile and an apology. No towels arrived via reception. On check out I informed the receptionist who could only apologise, but somehow I was left with the impression that it I was wasting my time in mentioning the fact. Lesson to myself check if there are towels in the room!

Overall stay was nice. All things considered, they are doing well. Couple of small hiccups - nothing major but does need improvements. There were issues with the key cards, as they were being rested in sanitiser post checkout - I thought this was a great idea but it seemed to cause the cards to malfunction, we had to be let into our room by a (very friendly) member of staff. Hopefully they’re able to continue this process with minimal disruption. Room was nice - but we were missing hand sanitiser which was supposed to be available & no biscuits to go with teas & coffees which was a surprise. No mini bars currently (assumed a Covid precaution which is perfectly understandable). Fitted sheet hadn’t been put on properly though - the top quarter of the mattress was covered by pillows but not the sheet. Clear guidance on opening times for the bar would be helpful too. We got back to the hotel at 23:05 on a Friday night and it was shut, which we thought was quite surprising. That all said, hotel was very clean, staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast service was very good.

Nice, conveniently located hotel. We actually stayed two night having already had a prey booking cancelled due to the virus. Breakfast was good but needs to be better organised with the serving of hot food. We had an evening meal on the Saturday and to be fair it was average at best with no atmosphere at all! First night back I believe so perhaps understandable. Staff were excellent.

We have stayed at Radisson Blu on a number of occasions and always have had excellent service, rooms and food. The position of the hotel is so handy for Durham centre and the standard of food is of a high standard especially their breakfast.
