A little annoyed at the room care no teaspoons no tooth mugs and dirty glasses not taken away the whole of our stay. The breakfast on the first morning seemed to be swimming in oil and was very limited which put us off. On the whole didn't know why I paid extra for superior room. These are probably trivial so accepted what we got.

This is a superbly positioned Hotel, offering great shopping outside the front door, handy for the North Lakes and the staff were first class.

Hotel is in middle of Market Square ideal for shops,buses and station.my friend and I were given room on third floor but we found there were too many stairs,staff were so helpful in giving us another room on first floor with lift access. Room was spotless,food was beautiful and all staff were very nice.

Historic Hotel in a perfect location, short walk from Carlisle station.though the reception staff were not exactly welcoming. The room we were allocated was in the Annex building, a short walk from the hotel. This was disappointing. Room was of a decent size with a clean but small double bed? Small bathroom, could benefit from basic maintanence. Excellent food and service staff. Would recommend.

We stop two nights,my partner,and iand a close friend, and his wife. Wefound the hotel,very good in every respect,and they are upgradeing in some areas.the saff were very pleasant.the food was very good.the room we were in wasn't massive but ample.very pleasant experience.will be putting on tripadvisor.

Room a bit small (twin) in annexe however clean and tidy Booked on a DBB and Dinner was very good with a decent choice also breakfast very good with service very good througout the hotel If first visit finding car park can be difficult.

The hotel was not bad, room was cold needed to ask for an extra heater, which was given. The hot water was poor, however according to the reception staff,they were having problems with the boilers, we did see workmen in the boiler room. We would stay at this hotel again

We had a very enjoyable stay and booked in early because our room was ready. The staff at reception and in the dining room were helpful and efficient and made it clear that we could ask for anything we needed. Wevgot very good value for our money.

good value for money. Room clean and tidy but basic and small. One point - you always say best rooms available. Well I have booked with yourselves on a number of occasions and never had the best rooms available.
