We had 3rooms and they were all perfect and the staff we're lovely

have stayed in the royal highland many times and have always had no problems.this was no different,room 126 was fabulous tucked at the back in between other rooms.never stayed in this room before but it was very quiet aside from other guests walking by to their rooms.beds have improved vastly and slept like a log both nights.bathroom was spacious and plenty room for clothes,like that you get biscuits and sweets in the room as standard. great DBB on offer again,this time with tails after dinner and a bottle of wine-we don"t like wine-so our extra sides made up for that with no extras to pay..will be back again next year

My husband and I spent an enjoyable 2 nights in the hotel. We were delighted with every aspect of our stay. The room was spotless and everything you needed for a short stay was on hand. We had dinner in the hotel on both nights and enjoyed every meal. Every member of staff went out of their way to be helpful and we would definitely stay there again

My husband and I had another wonderful stay at the Royal Highland Hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the wonderful breakfast team are a credit to the hotel. We enjoyed the dinner menu in the Ash restaurant and the welcome tail went down a treat. The breakfast buffet was fresh and all items available at all times. Thank you to the team for a beautiful stay we will definitely be back

Excellent hotel of character in a central location. Dinner in the Ash restaurant was good, although the breakfast was not up to the standard of the rest of the experience. Very friendly staff.

Just back from a 2 night break at Royal Highland Hotel. Everything about the hotel was excellent. We had dinner in the restaurant which was really good. Its proximity to the railway station was a big plus as well as being next to the shopping centre.

Although badly in need of refurbishment the hotel still retains its original grandness and the price we paid for 2 nights was very fair. Top floor room bit cramped but very clean. Lifts to same were very efficient. Great choice of food for breakfast but 'hot' breakfast not very hot at times. Dinner reasonable.

The hotel is ideally situated. Staff very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. The only change I would recommend is that a grab rail is put in shower. Both my husband and I would have aplpreciiated this. We did not request this however when we booked. Will do so in future. Food was good although we prefer crispy bascon at breakfast and sausages cooked for a bit longer.

Lovely hotel. Very comfortable and staff fantastic. Ash restaurant was a delight.Rooms great. History of hotel interesting. Staircase beautiful feature. Great stay. Only criticism was breakfast...Lovely choice etc, everything there just hot food was lukewarm...This is a trend now with buffets as other hotels are the same. Please bring back table orders for hot food at breakfast time...

Been a few times to Royal highland and we love it. Room a bit small for a two night stay , but ideal for one night. Breakfast is great with good choices. Great value for money. We will be back again soon.

The rooms that some our party were in definitely need upgraded. I have photographs that show that the hotel is not as nice inside the rooms as it is in the foyer. The staff were very nice as was the breakfast but in need of upgrade.
