The good points far outweighed the bad and the deal was excellent value for money. The hotel sorely needs a refurb, it’s very shabby, despite being a lovely building. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us and the dinner and breakfast were delicious. We would go again.

Overall good value for money . Staff were all pleasant and hardworking , however it was obvious they were understaffed . Queuing at the bar to order dinner with folks just ordering drinks . No one to show you to your table or take orders .. very haphazard system . Needs looking at .

We had a thoroughly lovely stay at the Mecure Haydock Hotel. The hotel is very spacious with nice lounges and rooms. The bedroom was clean and comfy with a large bed and good bathroom. The food included in our deal was excellent, a quality two course evening meal and breakfast with a lot of variety. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Enjoyed our stay. Room was nice, staff pleasant. We used the swimming pool and steam room which was a bonus. Our 3 course evening meal included with the package caused a bit of confusion but we mentioned it on check out and was informed it would be sorted. So all in all a pleasant stay.

We had a lovely last minute 1 night break at the mercure hotel in September. Great value for money and the staff (especially Sam) were extremely friendly and did everything to make us comfortable in the current situation with Covid 19. They stuck to the government guidance and it was still a relaxing break.

Lovely room - upgrade given. Pizzas were great, but fish wasn’t too great. Didn’t enjoy breakfast in a bag but COVID has obviously had an effect on staff levels. Generous check in and out times. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

A hotel I regularly use for business and stayed in recently with my wife on way to the Lake District, a really nice stay as usual and great food in the restaurant, special mention to Alice who dealt with our order, she is an excellent addition to the staff there.

Visited this hotel several times. The staff are lovely, particularly Alice, who went out of her way to serve us. Great base for Haydock racecourse. Food is good value for money. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped.

Good room, lovely old place with nice grounds and conservatory. Had dinner and it was good. Breakfast was pretty good for the price, all self serve and decent quality. Staff are great. This place is a hidden gem. Have stayed here before and would definitely stay again.

Excellent staff made this stay amazing. The hotel is lovely and the reception and bar area is like a warm comfortable front room. The restaurant is inviting and food was good enough.
