Hilcroft Hotel, Whitburn

The hotel staff are lovely but the room was a bit of a let down. The room did have tea and coffee making facilities but there were a few issues in room 14. 1. The shower was over the bath but there were no handgrips to help get in and out of bath. 2. There was no non slip mat to stand in the bath. 3. There was a very noisy fan that seemed to run for ages making it difficult to sleep. 4. There was an extremely bright emergency light fitting at the door making the room very bright and difficult to sleep. On a positive note the food was good but it is unlikely I will return.

We were here for the ABBA Tribute night..Dinner..Bed/Breakfast… We only have one negative report..ABBA Tribute we felt were not very good at all..very disappointed in their tribute… However the Hotel Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful ..thank you for our room request being granted we were very happy about that…room very clean and comfortable and breakfast tasty..good choice…it was all in all good value for money and we would return here but not for a Tribute night…we feel the members of staff improved our visit…

Had well deserved weekend away. Reception staff were amazing,nothing was any bother. Room was perfect. Found the service in the restaurant a little slow and the young girl serving could have been a bit more welcoming a wee smile perhaps

had a lovely 2 night stay at the hilcroft hotel .we were in room 32 which had a huge smart tv and bathroom was huge with a wonderful jacuzzi bath .all staff we spoke to where nice and food was very good .great value .would recommend this hotel

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Evening dinner was nice, but expect to pay a wee bit over your dinner allowance as most of the starters and desserts take you over the mains prices, but worth the little bit extra. Room was a bit in small side, but comfortable and clean. Maybe a little upgrade wouldn't go amiss, but bathroom was new and clean. Cooked breakfast was served to us and was an excellent sized portion and very tasty.

Great hotel, absolutely no complaints. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and modern. Good & drink in restaurant was excellent. All in all a great Saturday night break at a very good value price

Had a lovely return stay at Hilcroft Hotel staff were friendly and attentive room was extremely clean and warm there was a good selection of food on the menu in the restaurant and tasty breakfast in the morning

Hotel was lovely staff and food great only thing was first time I've had to pay extra because couldn't get 2courses for 1850allowed on food menu bit of a let down I only had fish and chips that was 1450 so no much left over to get a sweet which started at 650 again lovely hotel great service and food this was a gift of dinner 2courses bed and breakfast bottle wine on arrival never had to pay extra any other hotel I've been to

Lovely room, toilet was spotless! Staff were very attentive and helpful. Food was delicious. Only negative comment would be that I had a slip in the bath, it was very slippy when the shower was turned on. Caused a bump on my head and a massive bruise to my leg. Maybe bath mats would be an idea?

Stayed at the Hilcroft Hotel for two nights to attend a Golden Wedding celebration. Couldn’t fault the hotel, nice room very comfortable and clean. Food was excellent and the hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. All in all a very enjoyable weekend.
