Reception staff member was very welcoming . Room was very clean and comfortable. Food was very tasty service prompt and staff very attentive . Good selection of foods and quality 1st class. Unfortunately drink prices rather high which was disappointing as our stay was good value for money.

Had a great stay the staff were so nice and very efficient hotel room was spotless no complaints there breakfast was very good cooked to your preference I like well done food porridge was best I tasted a lot better than my own .dinner was good too portion size was enormous .great hotel good location for every which way you wanted to explore this I our third time visit over the years and did not disappoint will be back

We were very impressed with the standards of this hotel - staff friendliness, efficiency and helpfulness, The room and bed were very comfortable and we had everything we needed to enjoy our short break. The dinner menu offered a good choice of well cooked food and the breakfast menu served cereal and cooked breakfast options. Despite being very busy the dining room service could not be faulted, the staff were professional, very pleasant and friendly without being intrusive. The location of the hotel gives plenty of options to explore this beautiful area of Scotland.

Had a lovely break at the Highlander Hotel the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious, best porridge I’ve had in a while. Lots to see and do enjoyed looking for the wildcats, will definitely be back.

Room was comfortable and spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and made to order. Evening meal was not so good. A frozen triangular piece of haddock covered in a lot of batter. Pastry on steak pie was hard underneath.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The room was big, clean and tidy, and the bathroom was too. The choice of food for our 2-course dinner (included in the deal) was varied and the quality was good. The homemade lentil soup was really tasty! Breakfast choices were also great, and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely go back, and recommend this hotel to family and friends - in fact, I already have. Thank you.

As always, thoroughly enjoyed our short visit to Newtonmore and the Highlander Hotel. Ideal base for us to visit Family locally, and further North. Had an excellent meal on our first night, good breakfasts, and staff could not have been more pleasant and attentive.

A think this is our 8th time staying at the highlander Hotel. Can't fault it yeh some parts of the hotel are a bit dated. But who cares. You are only using the Hotel as a base for exploring the carincorms national park. Would a stay again 100 per cent and will be staying again in the next couple of months

An enjoyable 2-day stay at the Highlander Hotel. Excellent location. Efficient check-in and check-out. Our (Double) Room was not particularly modern but absolutely acceptable, large, spacious and very clean. Fairly large bathroom. All members of staff whom we encountered were particularly friendly, polite and efficient. We stayed on a DB&B basis. Overall the food was acceptable but could have been a little more 'interesting'. Breakfast was adequate but not quite as substantial as a traditional Full English/Scottish, and there were a few alternative options. Dinner options could have been more exciting. I would reiterate an existing Review comment which pointed out that table service was somewhat 'speedy'. This was a new experience to us, given that the opposite is more likely to be a problem. Staff are obviously observing the progress of guests at Dinner but are, in our opinion, responding far too quickly between courses. This made the dining experience appear/feel rushed. Having said all that, our stay was most enjoyable and we would be happy to return for further visits.

Had a couple of nights midweek and thoroughly enjoyed it , room was really clean had what youd expect with tea , coffee , milk sugar etc etc and a couple of biscuits , had a tv , only thing I would say was the mattress was a bit on the hard side for us but that's just nit picking , where it is , is the perfect base to explore the surrounding area , the staff were very pleasant professional and very attentive, nothing was to much trouble for them , well worth the money if we are back up that way we will definitely be staying at the Highlander Hotel
