Had a great time here, this was our 2nd visit, the 1st being around covid time when amenities were limited. The hotel is situated a wee bit out of Broughty Ferry but walkable if you're active enough. We arrived a bit earlier than expected as check in was 4pm but the room was ready so we got in on arrival. We had dinner booked for 6pm , it was a 2 course menu which had a decent range of meals on it. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable and looked onto a small garden but it was very quiet. We didn't have time to use the leisure facilities as we were out all day...maybe next time and there will be. Totally recommend Woodlands fir a wee break.

Hotel was nice, unfortunately room looked onto penn for dogs and had dog poo lying in it not a great outlook. Spa could do with an upgrade, steam room extremely small for the amount of guests using. The staff where all helpful & pleasant. Overall we had a nice stay

Lovely stay at the Woodlands Hotel. Great location for a walk down to the beach. Lovely room friendly staff and good food. Whats not to like. Plenty to eat at breakfast which was buffet style but had a side menu for other food to be cooked to order. Only downside for us was having to pay for the pool. Why not just add it to the cost. Great stay though.

Room was nice and reasonably sized. Facilities were okay too. All staff were lovely, bar staff were super friendly and helpful. Good to use with the deal but don’t think I would be returning without that as good was overpriced. Paid £12.50 per person for a buffet breakfast which only had 5 hot items and although were regularly topped up there was not a lot of food. Had to visit various times to get more than one thing on my plate. All the food that was there was bland. Not great value for money at all when there are pubs and cafes nearby which provide a much better breakfast in the town for £6-8 pp.

Great hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and spotless and a very comfortable massive double bed. Cracking gym and the pool was great.

Had a fantastic weekend at The woodlands hotel! Upgraded to a king room which was great, such a comfortable huge bed which i think was a superking. We were on the ground floor, room 201 which was very handy. Restaurant and bar area were lovely, food was delicious, the breakfast was fab! Great choices of both continental and fully cooked breakfast. Evening meal was good but huge portions! Pool area looked good but our weather was good so we were out every day walking along the beach into the town. The staff of every level were amazing! I don’t think we have stayed in such a friendly hotel where nothing was too much trouble for anyone from the chambermaids to the manager! In fact we didn’t realise Nicki was the general manager as she was mucking in doing all different jobs! She was so friendly and informative! All staff looked as though they enjoyed their work. I love getting a high level of service and that is exactly what you get at the Woodlands Hotel!

We enjoyed a lovely two night break. Room was in good order. Tea tray in room had items of good quality. All areas were clean. Breakfast was well presented with items covered, and individually packed. A particularly nice touch. The breakfast buffet was actually hot! I was shocked as normal buffet food is lukewarm at similar hotels. A big well done to the chef who cooked our first nights meal, on a DBB deal. We enjoyed this greatly and would be happy to return. Staff were plentiful and appeared happy in their work. Communication was easy and flawless. The hotel was presented beautifully with a theme of thistles on wallpaper and soft furnishings.

Difficult to find,but so glad we did,trees could do with being trimmed back,so sign could be seen.Room waswell appointed,and on the ground floor.Staf very nice.excellent choice of food on menu.A very happy stay,hope to be back.

Lovely Hotel although rooms are a bit dated , Pleasant staff , Food very nice & very good breakfast. Bit of a walk from main town of broughty ferry but taxis are available if needed. More upto date information would've been good as hotel website and what was told at check in didn't seem to match. Never used hotel fitness facilities so can't comment but always looked busy.

Comfortable, but pretty basic room - e.g. no drawers for clothes, only hangers. Staff friendly, breakfast very good. With special offer, good value for money.

Bit dissapointed in our visit this time.View of rooftops from room.Also very noisy generators? outside window.Booked in for breakfast for 10am.Very little food avaliable.potato scones were solid.1 in left.1 croisant left big dissapointment from our last visit.Also forced into leaving card details.Would have preffered not to.As I knew I would not be using it as my stay was already paid for.

Excellent hotel. Very clean. Love broughty ferry. The leasure facility is well worth the 10 pounds each for the weekend.

We booked this hotel last minute as my wife had just been given the all clear from breast cancer and were looking forward to a relaxing break. We were extremely disappointed to hear that the leisure facilities were closed with only the gym available. The main reason we booked this hotel was to enjoy the pool and spa facilities. We considered just going back home but were too tired. This spoiled what should have been a relaxing weekend. The hotel staff were excellent. The food was also very good and we actually had dinner on the second night in the hotel as well as the first night. There was nothing on the hotel website to let you know the leisure facilities were closed as if there was we wouldn’t have come. We use my hotel break frequently and this is the first time we have felt let down. We hope you can give us some recompense Regards Stephen Hughes

Lovely , welcoming reception staff, Helpful bar staff and a brilliant meal in the dining room. Room was comfortable and had all we needed. Breakfast in the morning was more than expected. We will be back! Only slight grumble was the crowd of young lads at breakfast swearing ( laughing ok like builders )

Nice comfortable room and bed. Pleasant bar for drinks and excellent breakfast. Short walk into town. Only criticism would be the 4pm check in, not great when you are only there for one night. I might have used the leisure facilities but £10 charge put me off! Would stay again.
