Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location for exploring the Western Lake District. Didn't use the spa facilities but they looked good.

This was our first time to this hotel on arrival we were surprised to see it was in the middle of nowhere thinking we had booked a hotel Keswick but not to worry as it had everything we wanted from arrival to departure our room was spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower plenty of we had dinner bot nights most enjoyable served by a very hard working couple breakfast was also very good and served nice and hot

ideal location for visiting lakes, away from hustle and bustle but close enough for easy access. Friendly/helpful, very nice room, stayed 3 nights would have preferred to use restaurant for one of the nights but this option not available Monday to Thursday, but would highly recommend, happy to go back

Our standard room was spotlessly clean with a spacious bathroom and lovely view. Both evening meal and breakfast did not disappoint. The staff at this hotel are it's stars. Friendly welcome at reception and attentive servers at breakfast and dinner.

Requested a quiet room found out a boiler was just behind room I had 1Hour 38 mins sleep in total proof of that on my Fitbit .Did tell reception the girl just stood and stared ahead. Worst service ever have travelled many different countries and never encountered a service like this .

Really lovely hotel, staff were very helpful, food was good room decent size and well maintained. Location was a bit remote so wouldn't suit everyone but was perfect for myself and my wife. Overall great value for money and a nice place to getaway.

All staff at this hotel were courteous, friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable with ample wardrobe space for clothes. The food was excellent both at breakfast and dinner. I was disappointed the use of the spa was not complimentary for hotel guests as is the usual case.

We were a party of four and had a largely pleasant and comfortable stay.As an elderly couple we appreciated the hotel responding positively to our request for an accessible room and for thoughtfully giving our daughter and husband an adjoining room. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the fact that the hotel is well located for exploring the Lakes. The only less than positive aspect of our stay was the dining experience. The restaurant was closed and the Bar menu limited for meals on three nights.The Bar was also rather cold and on our first evening there was an obvious shortage of staff. Over all however the staff were very helpful.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in the Castle Inn at the northern end of Bassenthwaite lake. We thought the breakfasts were delicious, cooked individually to our requirements. The evening meals were also good, but there didn’t seem to be any specials or variation. The gardens were excellent, as were the leisure facilities and the putting was a nice touch. We would definitely come again.

Very happy with stay but think staff should be made aware of hotel deals as we were going to be charged for evening meals on 3 of 4 nights. Fortunately I kept my email stating the deal I’d booked. Bill was adjusted by receptionist but she had said they didn’t do that deal and I felt the onus was on me to produce evidence of deal I’d booked.

We had a great 2 night stay at the Castle Inn Hotel. The rooms were spotless, lovely comfy beds and all the Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great selection for Breakfasts and everything was piping hot, and the evening meals were terrific.

We recently had a 2 night stay with this lovely hotel, our room was very clean, facilities where exceptional, staff excellent, professional and nothing was a trouble, evening food lovely and everything there at breakfast you could want. Although the hotel is around 4 miles from Keswick there is a bus terminal and staff are more than eased to give you information if you ask regarding this use, definitely recommend
