The Feathers in Woodstock is a 17th-century town house hotel which gained its name from a hotelier who loved stuffed birds, and whilst the taxidermy may have gone the property has evolved to incorporate a curiosity and playfulness that is as distinct as it is inviting. Located in the centre of this historic market town the chic Feathers hotel is in an ideal position for exploring. When you’re not in awe of Blenheim Palace which is within walking distance of the Feathers Hotel or punting in Oxford, you can take to the Cotswold Hills or treat yourself to some retail therapy in Bicester Village.

When looking for hotel accommodation in Woodstock, the Feathers has a choice of 16 bedrooms and 5 suites. All rooms are comfortable, clean and fresh - and the suites are some of the largest and best appointed in the Oxford and Cotswold area. Your canine companion is also more than welcome at the Feathers in one of their dedicated dog-friendly rooms.

The two-rosette award-winning Kitchen Restaurant at the Feathers serves a straightforward menu of comforting food made from the best seasonal ingredients. Afternoon Tea is something that the Feathers aims to do very well. The hotel is pleased to have been included in a listing of the top three Oxfordshire places for afternoon tea by Mel Fewster (Oxford Mail) recently. Mel praised the Feathers’ comfortable, relaxed, good service and fabulous food and, well, we’d be foolish to disagree.

Afternoon Tea is served from 3 pm until 5 pm in the Restaurant, Bar, and Terrace from Monday to Saturday

Gin Bar
The Feathers’ Bar features a fantastic variety of over 400 gins from around the world. They were the first in the Guinness Book of World Records™ for offering the greatest selection of gins on the planet.

Try the Ultimate G&T at least once! Another popular choice, in honour of the James Bond film Spectre (some of the cast and crew stayed at the Feathers during filming at Blenheim Palace), is Martinis. The bar proudly offers both the original Vesper Martini and the recently rediscovered ‘Dirty Martini’ (a little olive brine is added – it’s delicious!).

The Gin Bar is a beautiful sight, with a higher SPH (Selfie Per Hour) rating than any other part of the hotel, but potentially overwhelming in terms of choice. To help you through the vast Gin menu please consult with the bar staff who will happily talk you through and help you make a selection.
