The chef at the Brysons Restaurant prides himself on serving proper food as it ought to be. To ensure this,  local produce features regularly in the dishes served, such as great steaks, and a range of burgers and fish that has been caught up the road. The focus is on flavour and generosity.

CASTLES
There are several National Trust properties that we would recommend worth visiting. Closest to The Dunavon is Castle Fraser, one of the grandest Scottish baronial towers houses built-in 1575. Other castles worth wandering around in Aberdeenshire include Crathes, Craigievar, Drum and Fyvie

Kildrummy Castle is open from April to October. This 13th-century stone courtyard castle was modelled on the Chateau de Coucy in Lyons, France. Although a ruin, it is well worth a visit with a restaurant and beautiful gardens. The gardens have a unique collection of alpines and shrubs in a landscaped setting, boasting plenty of walks, a children’s play area and plants for sale.
