The Bistro is inspired by French home-style cooking serving earthy dishes and slow-cooked foods, some served up hearty style and some beautifully presented on the plate. With a menu full of flavour, The Bistro serves up fresh and seasonal produce that complement each other well.

The à la carte dining is in an unpretentious, warm and inviting setting. Expect a top-class service from knowledgeable and helpful staff who are happy to explain the dishes, the ingredients, and how our talented Chefs put them together. The in-house Sommelier is also ready to recommend the perfect wine and discuss the benefits of choosing a particular wine with a particular dish. The decor has natural daylight, restored fireplaces, beautiful art on the walls, soft lighting and comfortable chairs, making the Bistro a treat for all the senses.

Directions to Hotel Du Vin in Brighton: 

Please be aware that there is no access to Ship Street via North Street. Access to Ship Street is gained from Middle Street via Kings Road.

FROM THE M25 / M23 / A27
Join the A23 signposted to Brighton 'Town Centre'. Follow the A23 (signposted 'Seafront') until you reach the roundabout opposite Brighton Pier. Turn right along the seafront onto Grand Junction Road, which becomes King's Road. Just past Black Lion Street, you'll find Ship Street, which is a one-way street with no access from King's Road. Drive past Ship Street and take the next turning right into Middle Street. Follow to the end bearing right until Middle Street meets Ship Street. Turn right into Ship Street. Hotel du Vin is on your right at the end of the street, just a stone's throw from the seafront.

Although there is no on-site parking, hotel guests can receive a 20% discount from NCP at the Russell Road car park, £22.50 for 24 hours. It's conveniently located a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. A discount card can be obtained from the hotel reception on departure. Find them at: NCP, Russell Road, Brighton, BN1 2DX.

The nearest is Gatwick Airport, approximately 30 miles away, 45 minutes by car. Follow the signs to A23/Brighton from the airport, then pick up the above directions once on the A23. Alternatively there are trains from Gatwick Airport to Brighton Station, which will take approximately 30 minutes.

Heathrow Airport is approximately 47 miles away, 60 minutes by car. Follow the signs to M25 and travel anticlockwise towards Junction 7, this will lead onto the M23. Follow the signs to A23/Brighton, then pick up the above directions once on the A23.

Brighton train station is approximately 1 mile away, a 15 minute walk. When you exit the station walk straight down Queens Road until you reach the seafront. Turn left and continue along until you reach Ship Street. The hotel is located on this street. Alternatively there are taxis available at the train station.
