Hotel Gotham in Manchester City Centre is set in one of the city's grandest listed buildings - a former bank premises at 100 King Street designed by Edwin Lutyens. Due to the history of the building the ornate detailing, polished wooden counters and period architectural flourishes have all been retained and enhanced. There are deep velvets, furs, leather and traditional metals as well as Inspiration taken from the golden age of travel, with details such as vintage suitcases, buckled belts and hat boxes located throughout the hotel.

Each of the 60 bedrooms including the five Inner Sanctum Suites offers a full-on sensory experience. CLUB
Each of the Club bedrooms has striking geometric carpets and dramatic windows to enjoy views over this vibrant city, while the tactile burnished metals, dark polished woods and luxurious leather make for a sensory experience. The average size of the club bedrooms is 26 square metres.

EXECUTIVE
Hotel Gotham’s Executive Roms are slightly larger versions of the Club bedrooms – typically they are 30 square metres in size as opposed to 26 square metres.

DIRECTORS
The Directors' rooms feature a super king-size bed and a small partition between the bed and seating area, with a TV that can be swivelled around to face the seating area or the bed.

GOTHAM SUITE
This is the hotel's first level of suites. The Gotham suite has a separate seating area, a super king-size bed and a pair of slippers to go with your waffle robe.

BANK MANAGER’S SUITES
There are two extremely spacious Bank Manager’s Suites at Hotel Gotham. Each suite features a roll-top bath in the main bedroom itself and a shower in the bathroom. They have an emperor-size bed, slippers and robes.

INNER SANCTUM SUITE
There are 5 Inner Sanctum Suites – each named after an iconic Manchester figure and featuring a huge ‘Wonderwall’ screen. There is a signature emperor-sized feather bed, vintage suitcases, buckled belts and hat boxes that will transport you back to the golden age of travel.

Club Brass
Available only to club members and Hotel Gotham guests, Club Brass is a VIP lounge located on the 7th floor of the hotel. You’ll pass through two vault-like doors on your way into a Prohibition-style speakeasy that will make you feel like a million bucks.

There is a tempting bar menu and cocktails such as The King of King Street, Bellboy Barry’s Bramble and Lady Crumpsall’s Champagne Cocktail.

Directions to Hotel Gotham in Manchester

Hotel Gotham is in the central conservation area of Manchester at 100 King Street in the heart of the city's most upmarket shopping district.

Manchester city centre is easily accessible on foot, by bus or via the city’s Metrolink light rail system, which extends throughout the city and to many of the surrounding towns.

Manchester Piccadilly station is just 10 minutes from Hotel Gotham on foot, at the head of the London Road. The station services London, as well as other long-distance destinations across the UK.

For local connections, Manchester Victoria is 15 minutes on foot from the Hotel or 8 minutes by bus.

Manchester Airport is to the south of the city centre, approximately 40 minutes by car from Hotel Gotham, or 30 minutes by train from Manchester Piccadilly station. The Metrolink provides a high-speed service from Manchester Piccadilly, which takes just 15 minutes

There are extensive roadworks through the centre of Manchester. Access to King Street is difficult. Please seek the Spring Gardens route and you will see the hotel opposite Vivien Westwood before you get to Jamie Oliver’s.

CAR PARKING
The nearest car park to the hotel is about a 10-minute walk away. Valet Car Parking is available for £35 per night.
