Lovely stay food and service were outstanding. The room was ok but found it to be noisy as above we think kitchen areas. Also bedside light did not work. Overall though highly recommend

Room was clean, furniture in the room was old had some damage. Location is great. Breakfast was basic. Staff were friendly, barman who served us in the evening was really lovely. Would have been nice for one of the breakfast staff or check out staff to apologise for the fire alarm going off at 630am, understand not their fault and it does happen from time to time but it should have been acknowledged.

I stayed at this hotel when attending a technical conference in the Winchester area and found that it served as a great base for my trip. The hotel is located centrally within Winchester, a short taxi ride from the train station and right next to Winchester Cathedral. In fact, there is a lovely view of the cathedral from the breakfast room to go with the very nice breakfast served by the hotel. Many good restaurants and pubs are only a short walk away. The room was clean and the furnishings comfortable. All my interactions with the staff were pleasant and cordial.

What an amazing town. A must see for everybody. Our accommodation at the Mercure was perfect and the staff were accommodating..friendly. The room was excellent and the pillows a joy to put my head on. The bed wonderful and the breakfast was delicious. l cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. Thank you for a great stay.

Bedroom and bathroom were are good size, Mattress was comfortable and the room had nice big armchairs, full wall windows with a great view of the cathedral.
