We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Luib Hotel. Owners and staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good and generous portions. The scenery in the area is stunning and we were fortunate to have lovely weather - Glencoe was breathtaking.

The hotel is basic but the linen in the bedroom was spotless Our meal at night had three good choices and the selected food was very good The breakfast only had one choice which was a full Scottish and was very good So on a one night stay which we had was certainly excellent value for the £75 per couple price The owner was very friendly So no complaints

We booked our weekend break in the Luib Hotel because we saw it being advertised at an exceptionally good price on My Hotel Break. At the advertised price we weren't expecting luxury, but what we did get was a homely and welcoming hotel, with friendly and helpful staff, good 'traditional' food, clean en-suite bedrooms, and a nice fire burning in the bar/restaurant area. The main reason for our visit was to do some walking in the surrounding area, which the staff helped us with some suggested routes - we were out for most of the time and when we got back we just wanted some food and drink, and watched the rugby in the bar area. We certainly got good value, and for that type of short break most of our needs were well catered for.

Easy to find and lots of parking. Free glass of wine on arrival. We hogged near the open fire from arrival. We had dinner there…6 of us. Fish and chips were delicious. Great hosts. Room basic but clean. Slept very well. Breakfast was fine in the morning…no welcoming open fire! Couldn’t get in the morning from the tap, but it wasn’t important as we were heading home. I thought £5 for a small cafetière of coffee was a tad pricey. But I would happily stay here again.

Very warm welcome from Jamie on arrival and service throughout was second to none. Both he and John were able to offer advice on local walks and anything else we needed to know about the area and nothing was too much trouble. Room was small but warm and clean with a modern bathroom. Food was excellent and having booked on a cheap package deal for this time of year, we were more than happy with what we got in return. All the best to you all at the Luib and thanks for helping us enjoy a relaxing short break.

This is a great little historic hotel. No frills great room, very warm, comfy bed. Good Scottish breakfast and plain but very tasty food, particularly the fish and chips. Very friendly hosts, nothing too much trouble. Great value for money would recommend this hotel, will definitely be back. Thank you.

Great welcome when we arrived. Hotel is comfortable, clean no frills. Rooms could do with an update, even adding a light shade in the bedroom for the “big light” would help. Food, both breakfast and dinner, was lovely and couldn’t be faulted. Owners really friendly and approachable. Happy to have a blether with you. We would stay here again.

Had a great night, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the Inn is everything you’d expect and has an old traditional feel. Food was excellent, although not much choice, breakfast was also very tasty, but no choice. Given the low cost it’s great value and I’ll definitely be going back at some point.

What a great wee place. The staff are so warm and welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Food was great and good portions. It’s a wee bit tired in decor but the room was clean and warm.

Our weekend at the Luib was fantastic, on arrival we were greeted by John (owner) who was very welcoming and friendly. The Hotel is very relaxed and has a comfortable atmosphere, John chatted away like we had known him for ages. John creates an openness which draws everyone in to conversation, which enables guests to engage with each other, so we got to know all the other guests staying that weekend and ended up having a sing song and a good laugh. We were well looked after by both John and Jay, who was also very friendly and made sure all our needs were met professionally and efficiently.The scenery around the hotel was just amazing and we will definitely plan a return in the near future. I had a great 2 night stay at the hotel that was a central location for 3 days of hill walking. Very friendly and welcoming staff, lovely open fire in the dining room on arrival. Breakfast was spot on both days & dinner was lovely. Especially the fresh fish and chips. Rooms were clean and tidy with tea/coffee facilities, tv & shower ensuite. Well worth the price for 2 days and I'll definitely be back.

Relaxing stay at the Luib. Lovely open fire in the lounge. Ray, Sue and John are a great team. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. We booked through myhotel break. I would recommend that you get in touch directly with the hotel for the best deal.
