Upon arrival at the hotel the reception area was pleasant and inviting. After a short wait the receptionist was welcoming. I asked if we had been allocated a quiet room but she said we hadn't (107) I said this had been requested on the booking. She then said a quieter room isn't available yet so we'd have to wait. After 30 mins (3.30pm) our room was ready. We took our bags to the room and went down to the pool. Pool receptionist said he had no towels left so we'd have to go back to the room and get more later. I explained my disappointment that this wasn't communicated from reception. Went back to the room for towels and into the changing room. I appreciate it was a busy day. The facilities were dirty and no shampoo in the shower. Light is out in one of the showers. The room itself was fine. Bed was comfortable. Some people may not like the feather pillows. Walls are thin and you can hear people talking. Also people let their room doors bang which is noisy. We had buffet breakfast which my kids enjoyed. I'm dairy free and the server gave me a qr code so I knew allergen info. Little disappointed there was no black coffee in the machine or tea bags that I could see. Overall enjoyed our stay just a few niggles to improve on.

Lovely hotel, pool was nice and warm too despite a large function on we were not disturbed at all, only knew it was on because reception had said to us on arrival, letting us know if any problems not to hesitate to contact them!! Breakfast was lovely too staff very very approachable, very polite. Only one slight compliant -pillows were mega mega soft but it was good I had a great nights sleep xx

Upon arrival 1st thing I noticed was the smell of damp not pleasant at all. Room is nothing like pictures advertised bathroom definitely needs renovations signs of mould & grubby shower tray Outside view is a brick wall 10 feet from the window definitely not worth £150 !

Loved our second stay in this hotel within a month. Rooms spotless and very comfortable. Staff friendly and efficient and a great breakfast with plenty of choice. Our new favourite city centre hotel and not just because of the warm, complimentary cookies on arrival!!

I made a note when booking the hotel saying it was my sons 10th birthday and if there was anything they could do to mark the occasion it would be much appreciated but this wasnt acknowledged. I was a bit dissappointed with this, there wasnt any feedback or contact to let us know it wasnt possible or if there was going to be a cost. It was just ignored. My service score is taking this into account

When we arrived we immediately felt welcomed by the staff and enjoyed our complimentary “DoubleTree cookie”. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. We visited the in-hotel bar and thoroughly enjoyed our drinks, small meal, and service; particularly from Sophie, who made us feel very welcome. The staff we encountered were all lovely, there are sanitising stations throughout the hotel, the rooms were spacious with nice new decor and the beds were incredibly comfy. No issues with the hotel.

I love the queen size beds as I was staying with my daughter. Housekeeping were not allowed to enter our room but we asked and were given clean towels and extra toilet rolls. The shower was great good amount of water and the right amount of power.
