A very relaxing 2 night stay. Room & bathroom were very clean & comfortable. The hotel is in a lovely setting with the North Tyne river at the bottom of the garden and 5 miles from Hexham

Our room was clean and warm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our breakfast was very good and the evening meal was good.

Had a lovely break, very reasonably priced. A large glass of wine was a bit pricey at £11.50, but other than that - no negative comments. Room was wonderfully large and the staff were very pleasant indeed. We had an afternoon tea, which was very nice also (£17 for one). Food was excellent in the restaurant. Altogether! 9 out of 10!

Excellent friendly/helpful Staff, excellent food, great views from out door sitting area, looks and feels like a lot of money has been spent to refurbish this Hotel, only downside we had was beds uncomfortable (maybe ready for an upgrade) and very small TV in room - We would go again.

Room very cosy and looking on to the river, location spot on for visiting the ruins of hadrians wall. The only downside was no choice on the eggs. Would certainly stay again very good value

A lovely welcome on arrival. We made a reservation for evening our meal. Our bedroom was clean, spacious and had a nice river view. Modern and brightly decorated. Fabulous and attentive service from staff. Food was delicious, home cooked and well presented. Breakfast the following morning was superb. A really cosy hotel and we will definitely be back.

Stay was nice room lovely but were told no spa facilities which we knew before coming failed to say hotel going to be shut next day hence nothing hardly what we wanted on menu had keep changing it then breakfast came hardly anything there had be served hit breakfast but was cold when came place had no atmosphere with shutting so basically we didn’t enjoy our experience so sad we were looking forward to it views were lovely no complaints about room

Great location near many attractions along Hadrian’s Wall and with restaurant overlooking the beautiful riverside garden. The food was very good with four choices for each course of evening meal. Staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the suite which provided added comfort. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

This is my third stay at this hotel Good points room clean Dinner of the menu this time a lot better than the set menu breakfast on the first day was good Bad points Smell of dampness when entering the reception no damp smell anywhere else Breakfast on the second day was from the buffet all hot food was lukewarm My room was on the first floor walking along the corridor there was a smell of cigarettes between the 2 doors in the corridor don’t know how staff never smelt it and try to find out what room it was coming from

Absolutely lovely. We got a great deal and the spa was a total bonus. We had some lovely walks in the beautiful surroundings and had the spa to ourselves to relax at lunch time. The breakfasts were amazing, everything you could want and more, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We’d definitely return.

Good 2 nite deal good price hotel looking bit tired but our room was nice with great view of gardens river and bridge meal on first nite was nice 3 courses and 2 very good breakfasts with plenty selection leisure facilities ok but need updating staff and reception very friendly overall good value for money break

Staff were all very friendly. Room was decent size. Bed was very comfy. Lovely view of river and bridge. Leisure changing rooms were cold however Pool was lovely and warm.

A very pleasant location for the hotel and a room with a lovely view of the bridge and river. Staff very friendly and helpful. Disappointed that there were no biscuits in the room with the tea tray and that we had to get more milk as the room was not serviced the following day. A few stains on the walls and a little redecorating required, had to play t the teaspoons as none had been left. The bed was comfortable enough but the shower was so hot it was bordering on scalding. Attempted to turn the temperature down but it was scalding or nothing. Obviously needs some attention. Food was well presented and a plentiful breakfast although the sausage were a bit lacking. Looked like they were short staffed and several appeared to be doing several jobs at once. Worth a second visit though if we were in the area.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel our room had views over the river & bridge and the countryside beyond. The room was clean and warm with the usual facilities. There was a good choice of starers ,mains & desserts on the bar and restaurants menu and there was a good choice for the buffet breakfast croissants, cereals and full English. The staff were all pleasant and very helpful nothing was a problem. It is a great place for visiting the Roman wall and Kielder water.
