Excellent hotel on banks of river. Lovely grounds and walks I imagine how lovely it will be in the spring/ summer. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and food delicious. Enjoyed the lovely real fires. Will certainly return.

Great location! Accommodation and facilities were of a very high standard. Bed and bathroom linen were of excellent quality. Staff were very polite and helpful. Food was extremely good, both in quantity and quality.

Friendly, attentive, well trained staff. Nothing is too ,much trouble. This is my fourth stay and we will make this our hotel of choice in the Aberdeen area. Food excellent. Given the Covid disruptions this hotel have gone the extra mile. The staff are a credit to the management and the management are clearly doing a fantastic job. Happy, friendly staff is a sure sign of a well run hotel.

The location is stunning, very quiet and next to the river. The hotel is beautiful outside and inside. Everything was clean and Covid restrictions were taken seriously. As it wasn't possible to have drinks in the bar, they were brought up. We had a feeling that the staff was a bit overwhelmed by the situation but they did their best.

We stayed here last night and it was a faultless! We had one of the newly renovated rooms and it was beautiful, lovely view of the river! The rooms were so cosy. We mentioned on booking that it was a night away to celebrate the year to our wedding, when walking in and they had a lovely slate with tablet and honeycomb set out for us- such a lovely welcome! We had dinner at the restaurant, again couldn’t fault the meal. Unfortunately due to covid restrictions we couldn’t have a drink with our meal but they had excellent room service so we managed to get drinks up to the room. Breakfast was delicious, it was a bit slow which we didn’t mind. Totally understand as it was busy but the staff were so apologetic about it. We are definitely planning another stay here! Thanks to all the lovely staff for making our stay so special :)

My wife and I decided to get away from the "new norm" to celebrate both our birthdays. Peter and his team made us feel welcome, absolutely at home and we were delighted to go back to a place that is held dearly in our memories from enjoying our wedding reception there in 2012. The venue looks amazing with so many improvements (it was already hard to beat). The food was terrific, we learned a new concept of "fire pit" from Peter and of course, we enjoyed each other's company :-) All. during these hard Covid times. We are already planning to go back at the earliest opportunity. Many thanks again to all of the team at Maryculter

We were delighted to have one of the refurbished rooms and we had been left a Happy Anniversary message with some tablet which was a lovely touch . The food was perfect and very reasonably priced . Followed by some alfresco drinks in the courtyard surrounded by outside fire-pits and burning logs . The hotel and surroundings are so relaxing and the staff friendly and very helpful. The COVID rules & regulations currently in place do not detract from the relaxing atmosphere this hotel has . Very much looking forward to a return visit soon
