Lovely hotel and grounds. Staff very welcoming. Booked a really great stop over deal and had a good time. Only advice to anyone is to check if any weddings/functions are being held on your chosen day as hotel is mainly taken over. This was not a problem for us but as a wedding was one night and a party the next this could alter your expected experience.

We actually had a two night stay , a dinner bed and breakfast which we enjoyed immensely . We arrived early as we had travelled not too far for a nice quiet break , so having found the hotel we called in for a lunch . The staff were so pleasant , welcoming and helpful , the food was really good in all aspects , a great start . The hotel is as it says next to the river where there are some easy and picturesce walks . Room was very clean and of good size and a lift was a plus for us . The dinner was superb with good choices and lovely sweets . All together run on ‘ old school ‘ lines as staff really know how to look after their guests . We highly recommend a stay at this lovely venue on the edge of Suffolk border to Norfolk . Bury St Edmonds a short distance away for a good day out with lovely scenic views and pretty villages on the route .

The hotel hadn't received enough information regarding my booking from MyHotelBreak, all they had was my name and the number of nights. They weren't sure what deal I had checked in for. The hotel did explain there was a function ie disco so we had to eat in the library, which was cozy. I m7st admit I couldn't get to sleep until the disco had finished at midnight. Having said all that, hotel lovely, staff were great and food delightful, so it was a cracking deal (for me anyway)

The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and had everything I needed. The bathroom was modern. I will definitely be returning.

The location in the centre of Mildenhall was a real plus. The check-in was smooth even though we were early, and didn't need access to the room at that time. Our room was on the first floor at the front of the hotel, but we didn't notice traffic noise. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. We were allowed to bring some friends into the hotel to join us at breakfast, and it all worked seamlessly. The staff were always attentive and welcoming.

We stayed here for night whilst attending a party nearby. The room was clean and comfy, service very friendly, bathroom nicely appointed. Because I was having to leave very early the following morning, before breakfast opened, I asked if they could provide me with a little something, maybe a croissant so I could grab and go. I checked out and found a package of fruit, criossants, yoghurt and some cold meats and cheeses. All ready for me to eat when I stopped en-route. I was so touched. Lovely place and i would definitely stay here again if I were in the area. Highly recommended
