Lovely night away, staff were brilliant couldn’t be more helpful. Only downfall was room had a small window facing a brick wall which was really disappointing when it is your 8th visit and you have always had wonderful views.

Lovely hotel and staff. Meals were very nice.Room was big and comfortable with everything we needed (except shampoo) Nice pool and spa facilities. Overall very enjoyable only slight niggle a wedding taking place along the corridor with loud musiil after midnight, we are night owls so didn’t bother us too much. Would definitely stay again

On arrival to our room we found it was twin beds, had booked a double room. Housekeeping arrived to join the beds together but there were no brackets on one of the bed bases. We were moved room,after 2 attempts of trying to put the beds together. The room was so much bigger ,2 televisions !!! I believe it was a junior suite which on arrival we were very happy until we discovered cob webs around the room, no iron, plug missing for the huge bath and a broken connecter on the towel rail with exposed wires, this was not discovered until later. I ordered 2 drinks at the bar for me and my wife, who was looking forward to her birthday Gin & Tonic, the barman said he would bring my wife’s drink to our table. Obviously had forgotten as one of the lovely waitress in the restaurant brought it to us once we were seated in the restaurant some 30 minutes later. The drinks menu is on the expensive side even more so when you are charged twice although this was quickly rectified. We had the chicken supreme which was tasty but small portion for the price. Breakfast was a let down, cheap ingredients although the scrambled eggs was very yummy, drinks were not as hot as they should be. All the staff apart from the young barman were lovely, friendly and efficient. On check out we informed the reception of the broken connecter on the towel rail as it’s a dangerous faulty part which could have consequences if touched.

We had an enjoyable 1 night spa break at Formby Hall. Staff were friendly & helpful & our ground floor room (109) was fabulous. Very spacious, giant bed which was very comfy, and lovely views over the golf course watching the golfers, ducks & pheasants It also had a safe, fridge & large flatscreen TV, & French windows opening o to a terrace with table & chairs The spa was nice but as with the previous review was a bit disjointed with its layout & pool was on cool side. We didn't eat in the restaurant , but he buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choice, although we do prefer a freshly cooked breakfast Overall a very enjoyable stay.

We paid for a Loft suite as a wedding anniversary and the room was stunning amazing comfortable bed, amazing bathroom. The spa and its staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The food was to die for and Val and her staff in the fairway grill were excellent.

We had a lovely 2 night stay, the rooms were spacious and the staff really friendly. The pool was really big and not crowded which was nice. The spa and golf facilities were great too. We will definitely be visiting again

The hotel has a very upmarket and sophisticated feel to it. It is well presented and spacious. The rooms are huge with high ceilings and all the added extras TV / Kettle etc. We also liked that the bathroom had both a bath and a shower.

The room was large and spacious. The bathroom was clean and bright and the towels were white and soft. Without exception, the staff were very helpful and dealt satisfactorily with all my queries Food and drink were excellent.
