The Arran, St Andrews

Very nice apartment (The MacDonald), in a great location. Very clean throughout, great facilities and very comfortable. Walls could use a fresh coat of paint, people can be so careless with other people's property, lots of marks in places where it would be difficult to mark the wall. This is not The Arran's fault, we had a great stay nonetheless.

Lovely room, clean and functional in a great location. Couldn’t ask for more will stay here again when visiting. Lovely little touches with refreshments as well and comfy beds.

I had the most wonderful accomodation at The Arran, the bed was incredibly comfortable and I have say extremely quiet. I was in need of a few days away and absolutely loved it here. The situation was perfect for walking whether to the Old Course, The West Sands, along The Scores to the ruins of the castle and onto the harbour and Cathedral. There was am amazing choice of cafes to walk to I enjoyed the breakfasts in The Cottage Kitchen, next door to the Library. I plan to return to St Andrews as it’s so enjoyable browsing the bookshops and enjoying the wonderful atmosphere of this auld toon.

Great location lovely clean room and bathroom but for ladies mirror in bathroom you can use for makeup if you stand nowhere with mirror to sit and do your hair was a thin mirror running up radiator i sat there on bed and dried my hair also if any mobility issues make sure you request a low floor as quite steep stairs

Didn’t get the free upgrade on check-in as advertised either you. One of the main reasons we booked because it looked like a great deal. £140.00 for room only is not great. Lovely room, great location. Parking not great as to be expected.

Great location, Hotel lovely. Only downside was bedrooms downstairs. You can hear all traffic & conversations @ reception and also all movements from rooms above. Did mention this to receptionist & her reply was…everyone says that.

Modern,clean ,room was spacious had everything you needed and some nice wee extras.Clare and Angus made you feel welcome and Clare was great on our arrival.Beds were very comfortable.

Kind and helpful staff (Claire and Monica). clean and confortable room. Near to the main St Andrews attractions (monuments and pub/restaurants). coffe/tea maker in the room and in the morning pastries, fruit and coffee for free at reception.
