Cameron House, Loch Lomond

I bought this voucher for my son and his partner who have recently had a baby and really needed a nice break they tried to book the hydro therapy probably a week before their arrival but everything was nearly fully booked they managed to get one time which was 6.30 so decided to go with a lunch instead of dinner they got the transport to the clubhouse restaurant which was their only option as the boathouse which was far nicer was closed for refurb when they got there for their food was told that there was a golf party coming in and there was no table for them so they had to re book for 4.30 so had to get transport back up to the hotel and then transport back at 4.30 and all the time the staff telling them they had no knowledge of the voucher they had for their stay and had never heard of my hotel break and really it was all quite embarrassing for them. However they had their food which was really just the same as a pub lunch and then the member of staff tried to charge them for their pudding as they said it was only a 2 course voucher when it was a a deal for a 3 course dinner. Once I to their room the tv had the wrong name in the screen to welcome them it was a ladies name. Then at breakfast there was very long lines for the food and they had to wait a time to eat also my sons partner us a vegetarian and was ever given that option and then when they were leaving the breakfast room heard one of the stafereung the vegetarian option to someone else The whole experience was really stressful for them and at the cost we paid for the deal I’m not very happy you don’t expect to give a gift of such expense for them to be treated badly.

I didnt think this was value for money, the room was on the ground floor at back of the hotel. I didnt get a good night sleep with foot noise from room upstairs till 1am and people running along corridor at 3am. also the quality of the pillows was poor for such a hotel and have had better in Premier Inns. Staff at front desk didnt know we had a complementary tail on arrival and took several minutes to resolve. Service of the tail in the bar was poor, took about 10minutes and the tail when arrived was rather bland. In the Boathouse the meal was good but the girl serving was rather rude and accused us of taking a Cameron house pen left on the table. Wouldnt rush to go back at this cost and the standard of service.

An amazing experience all round and the staff were delightful. Not one thing was negative. We would love to return someday. The hydro/thermal spa was wonderful.

We received an upgrade to a suite which was a beautiful room with views over the Loch . All staff were friendly whilst being very professional , nothing was to much trouble . First class from start finish . Looking forward to a return visit .

Fantastic hotel friendly staff and beautiful location. Only fault was had order a birthday hamper was not in room on arrival spoke. to reception said it would be delivered when we were having food. Still wasn’t in room when we returned spoke to reception again information was not passed on to team that deals with this but did receive it the following day.

We had a good overnight stay at Cameron House whilst travelling to the Highlands. Good facilities, comfortable stay in a great location. Service, food and drinks were all of a good standard. The hotel is in a stunning location and the hotel has a wide range of facilities and activities which would be great for a longer stay.

If you are after a luxury stay, you will not be disappointed. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, Cameron House is in an league of its own , truly prestigious hotel. They have thought of everything and you feel like you are in a 5 star hotel. Beautiful setting and scenery.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wonderful service throughout Loved everything about Cameron House! We particularly enjoyed the pool , the Boat House and the Scots Bar. Valet parking and warmth of reception was much appreciated. Standard of cleanliness throughout was excellent. Unfortunately our room did not have a view, only negative but that didn’t detract from our enjoyment. Look forward to returning! Next time we will have a view!

Range of food at Breakfast was great, seemed to cater for everyone’s tastes. Room was lovely, spacious and had everything we required. Staff were all friendly and helpful Area lovely, views great, boat ride very nice.

The staff were absolutely amazing and the grounds were so beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and everyone was so so lovely. We have decided this will be the place we return every year and so can’t wait to see you all next year!

This is a beautiful property - historical and majestic. The location is fantastic. Our room was modern but with oodles of charm. The staff are excellent and go out of their way. The breakfast was amazing!!! This was a treat for us but well worth it.
