Inn on Loch Lomond, Luss

We stayed at Christmas time and the hotel and bar area were so cosy. Service from the minute we arrived was friendly and welcoming from the receptionist, bar/waiting staff and breakfast staff. We stayed DBB and it was well worth the money, food portions were large and great value for money. Would highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic stay,room had everything you need and lovely bathroom, dinner was brilliant 10 out of 10,breakfast was good but not outstanding, got cooked breakfast, lorne was not a full sausage more a third of a sausage, think because dinner was so good was expecting same at breakfast,more explanation of where everything is at breakfast without having to go looking, just minor things,did not spoil our stay and will definitely return, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

When we arrived 25mins before 3pm checkin, which upset the receptionist…….!!!! The room we where given on the first floor was spacious and well equipped, how ever the carpet in the room was badly soiled at the door and at the side of the bed facing the window/ balcony doors. The bar / restaurant……this area has an identity crisis.i wasn’t sure if it was a bar or a restaurant!.…tables are placed at the bar, so if ordering drinks in the bar, you had to stand next to people eating …then take drinks into the empty restaurant area across the reception area and dodging the servers carrying the food from the kitchen to the bar/restaurant!! The evening meal was very nice, good portions and tasty, as was the cooked breakfast in the morning.

Hotel was nice enough. The superior loch room was ok basic nice bathroom and bed comfortable. The view was nice so i guess that’s why it’s classed as superior. Food in hotel was good also. I thought it was misleading to advertise this hotel as Luss when it’s in Inverbeg which is well over an hour walk from Luss. Nice walk down the beach house and loch from hotel and Luss is less than a ten minute drive away. Staf friendly enough did seem a bit short staffed at times and under pressure. Overall a decent hotel and deal but I’d rather stay in Luss next time.

First time using The inn on LochLomond and it was excellent. The staff from Reception, Restaurant, Bar and cleaning were excellent. The room met all our requirements and we took our Dog and her dog bed fitted into the room. The food was very good with plenty of selections available

The whole hotel is lovely, we had such a good stay, the staff definitely make this hotel, they are ALL so friendly, helpful and chatty, a credit to the hotel. The only thing that could have been better was the pillows! They were as flat as a pancake and I spent the whole two nights wishing I had brought my own. I didn’t sleep well because of this. The room was very small but not a problem as we were barely in it, although I would book a deluxe one next time. The food was absolutely gorgeous too. We loved the live music both nights.

We have stayed at the hotel a few times now and it never disappoints. We stayed in a Loch view room, the view of the Loch and Ben lomond were fantastic, we opened the balcony doors to take it in. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and welcoming and provided great service. The food from breakfast, lunch and dinner was lovely, nothing disappointed. We enjoyed every meal and the drinks we had. The hotel is 5mins in the car or a nice 30min walk to Luss. We will definitely be coming back.

A wee gem. Tastefully decorated rooms, lovely and clean and plenty of space. Staff were excellent, the young gentlemen on duty in restaurant in the evening were attentive and chatty, same for the ladies at breakfast. Food was delicious and what portions- really big. We were lucky to have a spectacular view across the Loch,shame weather wasn't as kind. Would definitely come back here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We had a lovely stay, staff very helpful and excellent service at dinner. Cooked breakfast was very good, continental choice could be a bit better, had to ask for plates, cups, no pastries, would prefer bowls of fresh fruits rather than triangle pieces. Rooms need updated, stains here and there. Creaky floors although it is expected of an old building but can be noisy. I would stay again.

Arrived on 15th January. We were allocated room 2 on ground floor . I had requested this due to mobility issues. The room was huge & the wet room was just exactly what I needed. Dinner on 1st night was OK. Hubby had steak pie . He said it was very tasty & was enjoying it. I had a margarita pizza . I asked if it was freshly made in the kitchen . The waiter told me yes it was . It tasted like one from a box unfortunately. I suspect it may have been but I didn't enjoy it anyway. Day 2 16th January We had a lovely well cooked breakfast in dining room . Full English & Continental. You could also have crispy rolls with sausage , egg , bacon etc . A very enjoyable breakfast . We went back to our room to get changed for going out . We had a knock at our door . It was the receptionist to tell us the Enva waste dump truck had revd into our car . What a job he made of it too. Car was undriveable. We were stuck in our room on fone to all the various agencies all day . We didn't get a chance to go for lunch or dinner due to the shock & stress caused by this and being on the fone from 11am till 16.30 pm . I cannot say that the hotel did anything to help us other than someone coming to tell us it had happened. No manager appeared to speak to us about what had happened. Nor did any of the staff. I would have appreciated someone coming to speak to us . Maybe to ask if we were OK? Or what was happening with my car . It wasn't the hotels fault but given that it happened in their car park by a driver from a company they employed., we would have appreciated this gesture .

Had a lovely stay at Hotel,food was nice although breakfast was slightly a bit under par, could have been served a little bit hotter,my own preference maybe.One major plus was the Hotel throughout was lovely and warm,as it should be for guests in the winter.Also,staff very nice and attentive, I stayed 1st and 2nd January and was surprised they had entertainment which was also a plus sign.So, overall cracking break and I will be back

Great value Small room but good view with heated bathroom floor . Food was good girl with baggy jumper at night was nice . Welcome on arrival from red haired receptionist was lacking no hello . Just your a bit early for check in but your rooms ready . We were 10 minutes early . Would stay again .

Absolute nightmare for dinner no fish and chips for myself no steak pie for my husband. have been goin to this hotel for years its very rundown now its so sad bed woz like a marshmallow. I would have thought a hotel that size wouldn t run out of fish/steak pie so disappoiinted and won t ever return to this hotel again.

When we arrived at the hotel. in minus degrees temperatures, we found that the radiator in the room had not even been turned on nor the towel rail in the bathroom . It was pretty cold. This was mentioned to the receptionist when we went down for dinner and she said they were preserving energy!! Surely if you have a guest arriving you warm up the room for them. The room was big and had lovely views but the radiator was not adequate. I went down to ask the night porter if they had a portable heater we could use to bump up the temperature but they didn't. I asked for an extra duvet for the bed. That was supplied. We didn't use the shower at all as the bathroom was freezing. The only form of heat was the towel rail which was only lukewarm. We were really disappointed with the response to our complaint.

Had a lovely time at this hotel. Room was nice and clean the only downside was the creaky floorboards. Food was excellent.
