Went on 1st week in August arrived to find out we had villa although we booked the treetop style lodge but seeing view from sunroom window made it better so didn't even bother to call reception. The villa was very spacious and was well equipped only down side was decor was bit old fashioned and the chairs has holes in them but was comfortable enough everything on site was good steak restaurant was fantastic. Bad points is check in at 5 pm and no guarantee of what property u get especially when your paying so much money for the week you lose a full day before u even get key and then your out early on last day

Stayed for 1 week at the end of August in Morlich 5 a lovely sleeps 8 lodge. Struggled to get heating working properly and one night we decided to light the log fire. This was a mistake as the place ended up full of smoke. Noticed the next day that the metal "hat" on top of the chimney had fallen on to the chimney pot partially blocking the chimney. This really should have been spotted by staff. Lodge looks over the golf course to the Cairngorms. Very scenic. Enjoyed the golf and the surrounding area is fantastic for walking and cycling. 15 minute walk to the village. Bar and restaurant very nice. A great time was had by one and all
